Hi all,
We have two 12 week old kittens. We took them home 4 weeks ago from my brother's house. Therefore, we know the Queen.
In the last day or so, the female has been trying to nurse off the male (her brother). The boy does not seem at all bothered by this, but we are wondering if this is...
Hi,
We brought home new kittens last night and both are having a little loose stool. They are eating (the same Science Diet as they have been) and are very active. We do plan to call the vet, but so far are attributing this to nerves. Anyone have similar experience?
Please take a look at this pic:
What is not clear is that the other side of the railing is a very long drop. When we gave the new kittens a brief tour of the house, both of them stuck their heads through there and we had a moment of sheer terror when we thought they might slip or something...
How long does the Queen take to get over having her kittens taken away? We saved a cat, who now lives with my brother's family and his 4 cats. This weekend, we are taking her two 9 week old kittens to live at our house. The kittens will be totally spoiled and have a great life, but will the...
Hi everyone,
Have not posted in a couple of weeks, but we are on the way to Chicago to pick up the kittens. As I have mentioned before, the Queen was rescued by us in July and has been living with my brother's family and their 4 cats since. We are taking the two kittens home this weekend, for...
Ok, I have already explained the story of how we are getting kittens in a couple of weeks (I would be happy to relate the tale again if anyone wants). Anyway, by the time we get them, the two kittens will be litter trained and ready to go.
My wife received a call from a co-worker asking if...
As we prepare for our new kittens, I continue to get a laugh out of the main difference between cats and dogs. We owned a dog for 14 years. Whenever we had a question along of the lines of "why does the dog...?", the answer was almost always clear and specific.
When we ask cat questions, the...
We are about two weeks from bringing home our kittens. They already know how to use the litterbox. When we bring them to the house, I understand we need to show them where the boxes are located, but do we need to place them in each one? We will be using the same litter as they use now. What...
Hi all,
Pics of the 5 pound queen and her kittens. The queen, whom we rescued, is living at my brother's house with his other 4 cats. We are taking the two kittens, for our first feline experience. Please keep in mind that the Queen, despite looking huge, is only 5 pounds...
Hi everyone,
Quick background: We rescued a cat a couple of months ago who happened to be pregnant. The cat now lives with my brother's family (they have 4 other cats) and we plan to take the kittens as soon as they are 10-12 weeks old.
Here is my question: When this happens, and the Mom...
Good morning,
Two questions please:
Is Bitter Apple Spray what you would suggest to keep kittens away from wires?
If it is, can you get it at Petsmart?
Thanks!!
Hi again,
Two questions, the first may be a little weird, but here goes. As I have posted before, we are a few weeks away from picking up the kittens from a cat we rescued and who now lives with my brother and his family. When we do so, how will the Queen react to "losing" her kittens? Will...
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum, and to the world of cats. About a month ago, we rescued a stray who was hanging around the front of our house. We brought her to my brother, who has 4 cats of his own. Turns out the girl was pregnant and gave birth to 2 kittens a few days ago. In about...
