    Benadryl for cats?

    I was also just at the vets today and was told I could use children's benedryl (either pill or liquid) to calm my cat for an upcoming plane trip. She said either 1/2 pill or 1 teaspoon liquid. Has anyone used it for this use? And if so, what dose did you use? What weight was the cat?
