Front paws in litter tray, back paws (and poop) out

Thank you...the litter is completely new and clean today so he is back to being a good boy and pooping where he should. We're now trying to train him and his brother to poop outside which promises to be a whole different ball game!!

    Pooping on paper

I've actually been quite vigiland about scooping out the poop each time one of my cats poops (and they have a couple of trays between them) but as I use the crystals that draw urine to the bottom of the tray, I can't scoop that stuff out and he gets touchy as soon as the crystals get even...

Front paws in litter tray, back paws (and poop) out

Today he didn't even bother to get in...just pooped right there on the floor. Grrrr...

    Pooping on paper

Hi, One of my cats seems to be super, super fussy about how clean the litter must be in order for him to poop in there. Over the last couple of weeks I've had a real problem with him going just next to the box (and the vet has assured me he's in good health) if it's even a wee bit dirty. Now...

Front paws in litter tray, back paws (and poop) out

What is a clevercat littertray? I am quite grumpy at him today as he has moved his poop to about a metre from the tray (off the newspaper I put down to safeguard against incidents like this). I think he might just be very, very fussy about how clean the litter is as when I replaced it earlier...

Front paws in litter tray, back paws (and poop) out

Hi, I have two seven-month old kittens who have been perfect about pooping in their litter trays since day one...until recently. One of them has started putting his front paws in the litter tray and then proceeding to pee/poop all over the floor!! It's so frustrating - he doesn't always do it...

    Tongue sticking out??

My boys do it when they're happy so hopefully it's nothing to worry about!

    Fighting Kittens

OK thanks...it may be that he's developed a bit of a water phobia as the other day my partner left the lid of the toilet up and was having a shower when Lester wandered in to say hello, and you guessed it, jumped up on to the toilet and promptly fell in the bowl! He was fine, but distinctly...

    Claw clipping

Thanks for that...if I grab their paw, and they stick their claws out, how much is a safe amount to take off?

    Claw clipping

Hello, I am a real newbie (my family have owned cats all my life but I only got my own kittens three weeks ago) so forgive me if this is a completely stupid question. I have two little boys -brothers - about twelve weeks old, who seem to have aspirations to take up a career in wrestling. I'm...

    Fighting Kittens

Thanks for your advice...I have been so busy overseeing the wrestling matches over the past few days that i haven't been able to visit the site. We're at a strange point now - the kittens will sleep curled up together, they eat out of the same bowl and yet when they're awake it's like...

    my kitty is sneezing alot

I got two kittens from a shelter two weeks ago. Five days after I got them they both started to sneeze and, when I rang the shelter, they were very casual about it and gave me an appointment to see the vet three days later. That was a very, very bad call as in that time they went downhill a...

    Fighting Kittens

Both of them are still a bit snuffley, both are still on antibiotics and I had only had them in the house for a week before they started showing signs of cat flu. Apparently lots of the cats that come through the spca have it.

    Fighting Kittens

I don't know if he was bathed but he came home smelling very strongly of the vet - even my insensitive human nostrils could pick it up quite easily. Before Lester went away they would have occassional wrestles but they'd always finish up by having a cuddle and the fights never went on for long...

    Fighting Kittens

Hello. I have two ten week old kittens both of whom recently had a brush with cat flu. One of them got very sick and ended up having to spend four nights away from home at the vet (I'm very happy to say he's now much better and eating me out of house and home). These kittens are brothers and...

    Fattening up a skiiny kitten

OK great, I will do that. Unfortunately they don't seem to sell Nutrical in NZ but I'll try to get something similar from the vet. Thanks everyone!

    Please help me!

His name is Lester and his brother's name is Omar. I will get some pictures out soon as I get him home!

    Fattening up a skiiny kitten

Hello, I have a nine week old kitten who's just had quite a nasty health scare with cat flu and lost a fair amount of weight from his already very thin frame. I suspect the shelter weren't honest with me about how old he was when I adopted him because he's very, very small. Anyway, when I get...

    Choking...

My kitten, Omar, is exactly the same! He eats like somebody is going to take the bowl away from him at any minute. And because he is getting over the snuffles and still has a bit of a blocked nose, he ends his meal gasping for air because he hasn't paused to take a breath while scoffing! I...
