Well, just came back from the vet and I have nothing but good news to report. After a through examination our vet found his legs and joints to be in very good health. She attributed his weakness to old age, and I'm glad to hear it's not something worse. She suggested what many of you did in...
I really had to think and stop and re-read everything twice before posting this reply so I wouldn't feel myself becoming offended at some of the comments that were made most likely in pure innocence.
I have an appointment scheduled today, so we'll be going there and seeing what the vet has to...
My 19 year old tonkinese has developed what we believe to be Arthritis and we're not certain what to give him to help alievate the pain and possibly give him his bone strength back. Whenever he walks his front legs wiggle to stay in place and he can no longer jump up onto our washing machine...
Well ... we've taken him home from the vet, and It appears I overreacted (as per usual). The vet perscribed us Laxotone and we've been giving him that. Ever since then he seems to be feeling better. (Although he's none too happy about hairball goo rubbed into his paws ).
Since he is old I do...
As far as I know, he hasn't been eating. He's lost alot of weight too. (was
around 10.90lbs at the vet, he's usually around 12 or 13lbs - he's a traditional
siamese, so he's kinda bulky, but usually very active). As for the litter box,
we have 2 other cats as well, so it's hard to tell. I...

and struggles at least a bit). He keeps his head down...
Upon futher examination of my oldest kitty's vomit - I discovered bits and pieces of fur! Look as thought that may very well be the problem. Going to go get some of that hairball remedy as soon as I get the chance - to see if that's what causing all the distress.
I'll keep you all updated. Thanks!
We recently got a new cat (had him for about a month). When we first got him he vomited and it thought it was just stress and thought nothing of it. He hadn't done it in about 2 weeeks since then. Then once he got accquanted with our other cats, one of them started to vomit. We also didn't think...
Since about 2 weeks ago, both of the cats of the house have no been getting along ... well, more so the more dominant cat of the house has been hissing and growling at the other one ... everytime he sees him.
The more dominant cat is about 15 years old, Tokinese,
very little health problems...
