mine both have collars with bells on..... i like to hear them coming when they sneak up on me and it stops them catching so many birds. I just wondered why its considered to give them psycological problems???? I've not noticed any weird behaviour in my cats.
I can't offer any suggestions to help but i would like to know what a cat having a panic attack looks like to be able to differentiate it from my cats crazy 'normal' behaviours!
thanks for the help... i found a picture for me.... but the ones i really ment are the ones under the word 'donate'. Can't seem to find anything on them as i'm not sure what they are called.
if anyone apart form newbies read this... can you tell me what the little pictures next to people's names mean?... how do you get them/give them and what for? Also is it linked to the points system and i noticed a bank type thing????
My two usually bring in dead birds or mice and once brought a huge beetle in as a present for me!!
My friends cat brought a big live pigeon into his house and let it go. It flew arouns the room c**ping everywhere!!
A laser pen is a cheap and lazy way to entertain your cat..... they go mad for it and chase it all around the place until they are worn out. (just don't shine it into their eyes!)
Also... my cat really enjoys a tape measure!... strange but true... maybe to do with the sound of it and the way...
My male cat does that. When i'm watching TV he will sit on the floor infront of me and watch me! He won't jump up to my lap and if i try to stroke him he just moves back then still sits there staring! Its bizarre and i don't know what he wants from me.
I don't really believe in ghosts but have noticed my cats often stare at nothing. They look very frightened and freeze whilst staring into thin air. Its not day dreaming as they sometimes follow this invisible 'thing' around the room. I check for flies etc but have never seen what they are...
I think thats a bit harsh.... having let them outside doesn't ensure they will never be friends again... i know of many cats that get on fine inside and outside the house. I don't think i've done any thing wrong either by letting them have freedom and i know my cats are not wind-up toys i just...
My cats are brother and sister from the same litter. We got them when they were 8 weeks old and moved to our new house when they were 10 weeks old. They were fine and settled and we let them out but brought them in at night. Getting on very well, playing together and cleaning each other...
well my one does five feeds and the lid rotates to open each compartment. The first one broke as after washing it (not in the dishwasher) it warped out of shape a little and kept getting stuck on the last compartment. The second one would not fix back on at all after i used it once then washed...
i do it every few weeks so they don't rip up the furniture and carpets as much. Also, as mine are young cats they sometimes scratch too hard when playing so it prevents injuries.
Don't agree with de-clawing though... that seems cruel.
I have tried using the cat mate c50 auto feeder and after one use it broke, i got a replacement and now that has broken after one use too! Expensive items so i'm suprised they don't seem to work. Has anyone else had problems with them or know of a good model to buy?
