Good news! A nice pair of girls responded to my ad and came and picked up the little guy. He's off to be an indoor cat in a house in the country somewhere.
Now I'm sniffing back tears and missing him quite a bit already. But I'm sure he'll have a wonderful life and I'm thankful I got to meet...
Yes, he's been on canned/dry kitten food for the last few days. He actually took to it immediately - I was quite surprised. And drank a lot of water the first day - I think he was dehydrated.
Cats may love clutter, but in this house there are lots of odd electonic equipment, milling machines...
I'm currently visiting (extended visit is more like it) my father in White Hall, IL to help take care of my grandmother (she has since passed and her estate is being settled).
Two nights ago I heard a mewing on my dad's porch. Looked out the window and didn't see anything, but then an hour...
Just last night at Kroger I noticed that Brussels sprouts and blueberries were 5x what I remember them being 10 years ago. I don't know if they're seasonal or what, but I can't afford them.
I skipped my 10th because I was out of the country, and the 15th is this year. I don't know if I'll go or not, because I'm still close with all my old friends from high school (together we all got out of the small town and moved to the city)... however I know I've aged better than others in my...
Wow, that's really cool. The mother cat's name is Dottie and the markings can easily be interpreted as "I love Dot."
Reminds me of this puppy which I'm sure you guys have seen...
I gorged myself on those heart-shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... bought some yesterday, and then some more today at 50% off since Valentine's Day was over.
Man those were good!
I'll probably never watch it again, but I did like the sister relationship and the werewolf/puberty thing, though it was a bit overblown. I was also impressed that a werewolf movie didn't completely suck, since for a while they have been...
Now what do I watch tonight? Still trying to decide.
I actually liked Ginger Snaps quite a lot. The third movie in the series... the one that takes place in a frontier fort in the past was also surprisingly good.
Last night I watched Ingmar Bergman's The Hour of the Wolf. (Not a werewolf movie. This is Bergman's only "horror" film though it's...
Well, I have a game review site (that I've let stagnate but will get back to soon) and signed up as an affiliate with rewardfish.com so links to games sold from my review site (the homepage in my profile) earn me 25% if anyone is introduced to the company from my site links and buys a game, even...
Current shows I like are House, Battlestar Galactica, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Prison Break, Survivor, Amazing Race, Supernatural, Survivorman, Family Guy, Criminal Minds (not sure if I'll stick with it since Mandy Patinkin left... don't know much about his replacement, Joe Mantegna)...
I don't know if I'd call it a "gore feast" but the opening murder set piece certainly is pretty brutal.
You're right about the art direction. All those Technicolor shots and the perfect score ("Witch!") by Goblin make this a great movie. One note: if you're watching the Anchor Bay DVD they...
I've done that before! Not with bleach but with some sort of bathroom cleaner. I foolishly used just my bare hands and the sponge as I cleaned. I know the feeling you're talking about! In particular the skin felt "tight" or a little shriveled up just behind my fingernails and it drove me...
I love horror movies! Especially creepy horror movies with a spooky atmosphere... haunted houses, etc. ...though I like everything from sleazy Italian giallos to zombies to stupid American high school slasher movies. The only thing I don't like is "real death" type movies like Faces of Death...
I don't mind gore at all, and I like over the top tongue-in-cheek gore films like Brain Dead, etc. I guess because I grew up watching horror films. (I do enjoy creepy ghost films more than gore-fests, however.)
That said, I do agree that prime time has become more daring when it comes to...
