Loving Bengal Female (spayed) needs GOOD home

Yes, I'm 99% sure that she's acting out to show her displeasure and/or because he has attacked her in the box before. I've never witnessed a litter-box attack, but it's certainly possible. That being said, she DOES use her litterbox frequently... but even if it's 80% of the time, that 20% is...

Loving Bengal Female (spayed) needs GOOD home

That's what we're doing right now in the interim. Tina [peeing cat] stays in the guest bathroom during the day while we're at work. It's a small room, but she has a litterbox, bed, food/water, and scratchbox in there. That couldn't be a permanent fix because our guests would have to step over...

Loving Bengal Female (spayed) needs GOOD home

PS - Yes, I contacted the breeder that I bought her from. He is no longer in business and said that he now lives in a small apartment with 3 of his former breeder cats and couldn't possibly take another one and isn't in a position to find her a new family. I agree that I would need to examine...

Loving Bengal Female (spayed) needs GOOD home

Hi there- Thanks for the feedback from all of you. I'm continuing to discuss options with my husband (particularly the option of giving away the aggressor cat) but I'm not sure how it will turn out. I feel pretty strongly that this would work- plus he's a lot more "flexible" and I think he...

Loving Bengal Female (spayed) needs GOOD home

I am so sad to be making this post, as my little girl has been my best friend for awhile. She is about 6 years old and is a brown spotted Bengal female, about 9+ lbs, and has a lovely soft pelt. She is very affectionate, loves to be pet, and will talk to you frequently. Here's the problem... We...

    Squawking when picked up

We nicknamed my girl "Squeaker" for awhile because she always squeaks when you pick her up.... just like a kid's toy. She hates being held. My boy, however, doesn't mind at all. I guess it just depends, but I'm definitely familiar with the "holding squeak".

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

You're right, I was reading too quickly. I meant no offense.

    Loves the hair dryer?!?

That is pretty interesting. I have two kitties- The girl HATES the blow dryer and will get up and run away as soon as she hears it. My boy kitten seems to like it, like yours. I don't sit down to dry my hair, but he will come and lay on my feet while I'm drying..... Strange, huh? I'm not...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

Upset? Yes.... But let's not forget who they should be upset with. If I were the breeder, I too would be VERY unhappy. But our friend here isn't at fault. The breeder should be (and probably is) furious with the seller. The breeder should not be upset with Cheetara. She walked into their...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

PS- I just saw your post that said you're in Canada. I'm a member on Facebook with a bunch of Bengal owners in Canada. I might talk to them and ask around about good breeders up there. What part of Canada are you from? Who is the breeder you were dealing with? (You can PM me with that...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

I really am so so sorry for what you're having to go through here. You were definitely doing everything with the best of intentions- for the cat and for your family- and obviously "bad things happen to good people". If you can't make it work out with your kitty, I agree that Nial's retired...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

UrbanTigers- I understand your point, although I really don't think that our friend here is at fault.... therefore Cheetara shouldn't have to pay the consequences. The person who sold the cat to Cheetara should have to pay the fees/consequences for selling the cat. Cheetara didn't sign any...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

PS... I hadn't read your response when I sent my last message.... just in case my comments might get confused while out of context. You will probably need to "rehab" her a little bit to get her accustomed to the attention. I'm sure that she has a sweet heart- she just needed the right family...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

Yep, that was my fear. The poor dear needs to be spayed. Being a breeder is a big responsibility (and isn't very profitable if you're doing it *right*) so you probably don't want any part of that. Like others said, it wasn't your contract, so you are free to do what you need to do. No matter...

    Just bought the Zoom Groom

My girl LOVES the zoom groom. We can just ask her if she wants her Purple Brush and she'll start screaming and running for the drawer. She normally isn't very affectionate and doesn't hold still, but she'll do anything for her purple brush. My only "concern" is.... Is it removing TOO much...

Please HELP, my Bengal is up Meowing ALL night

Another quick note...... I'm sure that your cat is already spayed, but it's one of those things that we just gotta' ask. If she hasn't been fixed, then she needs to be. That being said- I agree with Renovia. Give her some exhausting play sessions about an hour before bed. Make her run...

    Raleigh NC cat show

Haha, it was a blast watching all the silly kittens. Kitten #69, in particular, was very crazy to watch in the cage. I'll work on the agility video sometime this week. I'd like to figure out how to post it on YouTube. The last time I tried to pull video from the camera onto my harddrive the...

OK, first, the cage that won "best decorated" for our Christmas in July theme.... The front: The side (note the window): Fireplace background for the cottage: Now on to the kitties! Rowdy appears to be "too cool" to act like a normal bengal. Look at all the other kitties and then...

    Raleigh NC cat show

Hello to all TCS members! We had a great time at the show and it was a real pleasure meeting Nial, Teri, and Lianna (and all their kittens). This was my first cat show experience, of course, and we had a good time. Jason did end up enjoying it more than he thought he would so that was a good...
