how come it will use its own tray for wee but not poo - with regards to size, cleaning agents, litter depth and so forth? it may be half domestic and half a stray cat - would that make any difference? if it did surely it would have same reservations for weeing?

i have been grooming the cats which seems to have done the trick. I just need to get into a weekly or daily routine now. since grooming the cat it now has started acting funny though when you touch a little area on its chest. there is a sticky patch there too. whats happened? Nightmare.

fed them cat treats as you groom them - they then begin to link the treats with the grooming. a motivational reward!

try 2-3 litter boxes in different places and with different litter types in each one. also if trays are older than 6months replace them - the odour of the trays might put off the cat cats generally like privacy when taking a dump too.
