    Animal digging up pet grave

Our cat died back in March, and we buried him in our back yard. The ground was still partially frozen, so we could only bury him about 2 feet down. In the past few weeks, something keeps digging around his grave. We can't figure out why it started happening after 6 months. This morning it...

    Cats and Tuna

My cat was sick, and was not eating, and the vet instructed me to feed him tuna fish. Now I have read articles saying NOT to feed cats tuna fish, because it can cause health problems. Does anybody know anything about this? The cat did end up dying, probably not because of the tuna fish.

    Neutering and has parts

Are there different ways of neutering a male cat? MY previous cat was a neutered male, and I couldn't see any of his parts, ever. My current cat was just neutered, and I still see his penis when he cleans, and he also still has his sacks in the back. They said they removed the "nuggets" and...

    Cat Meowing

We have had this cat for about 2-1/2 weeks. Over the past few days, he has really started meowing. He just walks around looking at us and meowing, and also at night. He is also not yet neutered. He is 1 year old, and we have had to reschedule the neutering twice because he has had an upper...

    Bartonella Disease

My cat was just diagnosed with Bartonella disease. He is going to be placed on some new antibiotics for this (he has been fighting an upper respiratory infection for several weeks). Has anybody else has cats with this disease? Are there any long term problems?

    Neutering Adult Cat

We adopted a cat from the shelter on Sunday. He is 1 year old, and was listed as stray/at large. He is not neutered yet. We had him scheduled to be neutered on Wednesday (yesterday), but he developed a URI and fever, so we now have it tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday. The vet said it...

    Cats and URIs

We just got a new cat from the shelter, and he has developed an upper respiratory infection, as many shelter cats do. He sounds so stuffy and congested. Does anybody know if there is anything I can do to help his stuffy nose? He is being treated by a vet and is on antibiotics.

    New Cat

We just adopted a new cat from the shelter. He is a sweet cat. I have two questions. 1) He walks around the house meowing at times. Is he stressed and/or getting used to his new home? 2) Why do cats kneed? He is constantly kneeding (me, his bed, etc.). It's pretty cute, but I was just...

    Recent Loss of Cat

My 4 year old cat recently died while they were taking blood from him at the vet. Someone referred me to this forum for comments/answers. The thing that makes this worse is that this is the 2nd cat of mine that has died this way. The most recent cat has always been overweight, so he loved to...
