My oldest cat (10 yrs), Lilly, has always been a little off. She's always been a "careful" cat. You could say she's a sketchy cat. Anyway, as she's been getting older I've noticed her sketchiness turning into more of an obsessiveness, if you will. She "patrols" the house constantly. She follows...
I ended up taking her to the local emergency clinic this evening and they checked her out and put her on clavamox. She was frequenting the litterbox and then trying to urinate in other places in the house. So, she's on the road to recovery.
It's obvious today that one of my kitties has a UTI. Due to it being Sunday, I can't get to the vet until tomorrow. Is there anything I can do for now for her? I feel so bad for her.
Hello and Happy New Year everyone! I have a couple questions pertaining behaviors of two of my cats. Does anyone have any insight or have a similar situation?
Lilly (8 yrs, spayed): She's always near me when I'm home and always watching me. Sleeps with me the entire time I'm sleeping. Sits next...
Thanks for the responses! The marbles are a great idea! I still don't trust the cat though, lol! Only because she's extremely old and sometimes doesn't seem to know what she's doing. I didn't even think to cover the foil with a nice fabric or something. Great ideas!
Hello,
Over the summer I bought a 4 foot hybiscus that's been outside until the past week. I brought it in and one of the cats is using it as a little box! I'm about to take it outside and give the roots a good watering and maybe repot it. Anyway, I was thinking about wrapping aluminium foil...
Two of my cats like to lick wood. It's seems they like stained, finished wood. I've caught them licking a oak chest, doors, and the trim around windows in the house. I catch them doing it alot. Anybody know why? It's weird, lol.
Last night we laid down to go to bed and I put on Animal Planet. Meerkat Manor was on. Kittie got her usual before bed attention and then plopped at the end of the bed and watched Meerkat Manor. It was hilarious! We were cracking up and talking and she didn't even flinch or turn around. She...
Hi. My own place is the plan. I'm here to catch up on bills that piled up (and it's a lot ). I've recently switched careers so I'm not making what I was making before. I'm hoping to be able catch up on what I owe and by the end of the year buy a house of my own. They're helping me out by...
Hi. Yea, we were switching the cats for a couple hours everyday. The last 3 times that we did it, his father's cat urinated on a rug, on the bed, and started tearing at the screen and door. It seems like she hates barriers. I haven't really given up, I'm just a little discouraged. Oh and yea, we...
Well, It's been a while since I've stopped by. Things haven't changed with the cats. I still have my 3 girls in the bedroom. The resident cat still hasn't accepted their presence and doesn't seem to care unless my cats step out of the bedroom. I've been studying the old cat and I have the...
There's one litterbox out in the house where she is. I haven't moved the others out of the other room because I haven't let my cats out of that room yet. This cat is super old and I've never had a cat this old. I don't know what to look for. My cats have always been healthy (knock on wood). I...
i hope you're right. she's going to the vet as soon as i can get the cash together. i know she's going to cost a bit. i think its been years since she's been to the vet.
I'm so sorry, but I need to vent!! My boyfriend's cat has gotten on my last nerve! She is now defecating under my computer desk!! She's done it twice now today! I really feel disrespected! This cat does what she wants when she wants to (I understand they all do). I've totally restarted the whole...
Hey all. Thanks again for all the positive feedback. I plan on taking the old cat to the vet to have her checked out as soon as I get paid... I know she's going to cost quite a bit of money. I don't think she's been to a vet in years. In the mean time, I was thinking about introducing one cat at...
