    Cat migration woes...

Ok... we've decided the cats are definitely coming over with her now I am going to look into the company Kiwideus suggested. We are also waiting on quotes from several other pet moving companies.

    Cat migration woes...

Ok... My fiance has now reconsidered her stand on the matter and is putting consideration into trying to find new homes for 2 of the cats... however, I know how much they mean to her and how it's going to break her heart (one has been with her for 9 years of her life since it was a kitten, the...

    Cat migration woes...

Thank you everyone for your reponses. My fiance has her heart dead set on bringing the cats over. With any luck they will only have to be kept in quarantine for the minimum 30 days, which will cost almost $1000 for the 3 cats. We want to look into professional pet movers too to see what options...

    Cat migration woes...

She only has 1 close friend who might be willing to accept looking after her cats... but this person already owns 7 of their own cats and she does not want to over burden them... I think her only choice to find homes for them would be to advertise in her local area, but then you never know if...

    Cat migration woes...

I have a huge problem.... I am getting married. My fiance has 3 cats. She lives in Texas USA, I live in QLD Australia. She is immigrating to here... but we want to bring her cats over too. I have 5 cats myself and can accommodate the extra 3 - that's no problem... the problem is the time and...

This is our oldest cat "Piggles" - she is 16 years old now. Note the skin cancer on her nose and also a small one on her bottom eyelid . She is Mouser's grandmother.

Not that amazing, really - He's just always been around them since he was a kitten and never been encouraged to play with/attack them. Cats can learn just as well as dogs can (if not, better hehe), given time and patience Us cats are very intelligent animals, and we are much smarter at working...

As you can see, Jamie likes lending a helping hand to his bird pals, checking their aviaries for invading mice. None of the birds are at all concerned about having a giant cat walking all over them. And Jamie isn't even remotely interested in the birds. Jamie is used to having small king quails...

Here's a thread where I'll post some pics of my cats. Some of you may remember the kittens Jamie and Zoe from this thread. Jamie has grown up to be much larger than his "sister" Zoe, who has grown into a smaller, faster, sleeker cat. Here is how they look today - Zoe Hairyette - just...

    Hey there!

    kitten has diahorrea

Hi again, Zoe and Jamie have both recovered and doing well again. We we're advised that giving them some acidophilus yoghurt with their food would help them, and they were back to normal within a day or two. Zoe is now much bigger than Jamie since she got better first, but Jamie isn't sick at...

    kitten has diahorrea

Ok, vet just reckons it's been diet related. She tells us to just keep them to one type of dry food for a few days and give them some yoghurt, and see how they go. With Zoe seeming to recover by herself, hopefully Jamie will do the same.

    kitten has diahorrea

Since I last posted, Zoe seems much better - her third eyelid is retracted back to normal and seems to be passing more normal stools, but now Jamie has got the "squitz" and his third eyelid is showing... so whatever Zoe had, she's given it to Jamie. The Vet is making a house call this morning to...

    kitten has diahorrea

Hello, Recently got two new kittens, 1 male 5 weeks old from pet shop, 1 female 6 weeks old rescued from death row at vet. The one from the petshop (Jamie) is doing fine, the girl from the vet (Zoe) seemed to be fine but we soon found that she doesn't seem to be able to tolerate any type of...
