Sounds like you're doing what you can for Chevy, still, call your Vet like you plan to, and call the Emergency Vet if Chevy deteriorates or symptoms change. You're a wonderful meowmy by the sounds of it.. good luck for you both and best wishes *hugs* *you've got the names for the shots...

Kitten keeps biting and nothing works! Help!

When I got a kitten in January of this year I spent several weeks nearly tearing my hair out for very nearly the same problems you're describing.. Spaz is female, but she was very very energetic, climbing the wallpaper, me, curtains, sofa, bed... me... every time she was awake. Didn't...

    cheap toys are the best!!!!

yeah it's great when they play with the cheapo purchased ones!! Spaz just loves playing with discarded toilet rolls lol (without the toilet paper on them) hehe and the small fake fur mousies... carts them around in his mouth before "killing" then in spectacular fashion hehehe...

My Baby is not well yet she's not 'sick'

Well.. good news!! She's recovering, she's now able to wander around albeit very wobbly in her hind legs and she's still very grumbly when she isn't able to do what she wants, she's making it to the litter tray a lot more often and is able to hold herself upright while she digs to china from...

My Baby is not well yet she's not 'sick'

Yep, the specialists didn't rule it out, it's just one that they haven't heard of it if was one... a Stroke is a very serious reaction - not that the tumors etc aren't.. But yes, it appears as though she's getting better... and her first check up after release by the specialists is in two...

    Shocking Cats!

Excellent suggestion!!! I didn't think of that one lol I normally brush/wash Lone and Spaz by wetting my hands and stroking them.. (in addition to their normal slicker brushes) and then rub my hands together to collect the fur in clumps, easier to put into the bin that way...

My Baby is not well yet she's not 'sick'

Visited Lone today.. and YAY!!! she's managing a lot more than she was with her front legs.. can take a few steps before toppling over - not normal steps like a healthy cat, but loads more than she was two days ago.. Time for CAKE and COFFEE She still has trouble making it to the...

    Shocking Cats!

Static electricity build up does that... your carpet + shoes/clothes can cause build up of the static, try touching a wall or door or floor with your hand before you pat your fur-family..

Should I be concerned when the vet....

Phar Lap had an enlarged heart... he did very very well... I guess depending on the WHY they're enlarged would indicate whether to keep a closer watch on puss... if enlarged by fluid build up, yes, if born that way, not necessarily. *hugs*

My Baby is not well yet she's not 'sick'

For all of your kind words, vibes and sending of light etc Well.. Lone spent one night here before I decided I'd bother her too much by checking on her every 10 minutes or so.. she gave us a couple of scares in the first three hours she was home. We moved her from under my desk at my...

Why is my vet giving me contradictory advice on wet and dry food?

As to price of the cans, in Australia, you're looking anywhere between $0.99 to $3.00 per can same size depending on brand (AUD of course)

    Spaz Alert!

That patch near her tail was for her Myelogram and second Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF) Tap, she also has one up on her left shoulder (bone marrow biopsy) and back of her head (first CSF tap). See "My Baby is not sick yet she is not well" or whatever I named it similar to that in the Health and...

    HELP my cat won't "bond"

Do you know if your new cat has met up with dogs before? If not that can be an issue if you don't take the time to introduce them very very slowly, and retrain your dog to NOT chase your cat...

    Laser-Pointer as a toy?

I have several laser pointers around the house, purely for cat pleasure.. I don't give them to my visitors and if they happen to pull one out of a pocket I say, point it down onto the floor or at waist level on the walls and doors. You can't control everything that your visitors do, but you...

Why is my vet giving me contradictory advice on wet and dry food?

Like others have said, do the research and then do what you feel is best for your fur-family. Personally, I free-feed dry with the occasional wet food treat. Lone doesn't seem to like many of the wet food products available... and I've tried a few with her.. she prefers the kibble except when...

    Update about willow throwing up.

Maybe to help Willow finish her up-chucking.. collect some different grasses from outside, wash the blades and see if she'll eat them? or you can get the special 'grow your own' indoor cat grasses that come with it's own little box (you know, like the ones you see in those health drink kiosks...
