Have brought him home now to spoil him silly until the tumour effects his quality of life. The vet said he'd be inclined to avoid the surgery more because it would put a strain on his kidneys. I guess my thinking is that he could potentially start to develop all kinds of health problems which...
He has his appointment tomorrow and i'm really confused any advise would be appreciated. My husband thinks that I am giving up on him if we don't have surgery and thinks he will bounce back fine like he always has. I'm not sure that he understands just how old he is. Having said that If you met...
This once happened to my mog and on further inspection it turn out to be a severely misguided husband who was 'tidying him up'. The poor cat walked into things for weeks.
He had a small piece of his nose removed in 2004 and thankfully no reoccurance until last month. However if the tumour has returned so soon after removal this time it could be a more aggressive form than the last. I'm still hoping its merely bruising from his op but will let everyone know.
I checked his box after suspecting worms. He had only urinated but shortly after his weird bottom dance he went in and had a normal bowel movement with apparent ease. No obvious signs of worms. He has been confined to the house since being run over in Oct 2006 and seems to have been parasite...
Thank you you are right and that is one thing that really bothers me about putting him through it. Last time he only had pain relief on the day of surgery and the vet assured us he would only be feeling a but of irritation. I am almost sure he was in pain. He couldn't get comfy and reminded me...
I am not sure what the medical view on this is but i'm almost sure the vet has suggested lightly scrambled egg before for my cat when hes been off his food or after an op. He has definately eating egg with no ill effect(hes 21) but not on a regular basis.
Hi all,
I posted yesterday re my cats ongoing saga with nose cancer. Today I just got up for work and fed him. He then used his tray, came running out very fast and dragged himself across the floor sitting up on his bottom. I suspected worms even though he is regulary treated, went to check the...
Thanks for quick responses.
Rosiemac, He doesn't seem to be in any pain at all. He recovered very quickly from his last op but that was just a few minutes. I believe if he needs it the next one will be half an hour.
booktigger, I will definately research the affect on him before agreeing. The...
Hi to all,
I have a very old cat. He is 21 and in very good health generally. In 2004 he had a tumour on his nose. He is a fine ginger and white specimen with a typical white cat nose. In oct 2006 he was run over and recovered from very long surgery to rebuild him. Since then he has been a house...
I found that my cat would always go outside his box when using the pellet type litter that goes sawdust like when wet. He wees fine in this litter but doesn't like to pooh in it.
First of all hello to all. This is my first post. I was hoping someone could give me some advise on my oldest friend. He is a big white and ginger Tom who is twenty years old. He has been through a nasty ordeal lately after being hit by a car. He had a very poorly leg which we thought we may...
