    Constantly waking us up...

Night Crazies is a good article. http://www.thecatsite.com/Behavior/1...t-Crazies.html This topic was the first one I searched for today because I've hardly gotten any sleep all weekend. It's not so bad when I work second shift, but I usually get up early on the weekends. My cat likes to...

How often do you scoop the litter box. He insists on twice a day.

I empty the trash in my bedroom daily because otherwise the dog will get into it. I use that bag when I scoop the litterbox on my way out the door. I only have one cat, but he manages to fill that box like it's no one's business. As for where I get all those bags, I just really, really like...

Do you have a desk buddy?

Awww, I love when they visit you at the desk. My stepfather, despite a mild allergy to cats, became a cat person when my mother's cat started sleeping on his desk. He even put a towel down just for the cat. Desk buddies are hard to resist!

a ginger boy's first day home

Orange cats are great, I agree. The black cat in your sig is gorgeous as well. My favorite childhood pet was named Mickey and he looked just like your Mickey! Thanks all for your compliments. Blarney appreciates the ego boost.

The Giant Spider MUST me destroyed!

How cute! I am terrified of spiders, so I don't think I could have that toy in my house. One of my childhood cats loved to hunt spiders in our house. We'd say, "Where's the spiders, Lucky??" and hold her up so she could catch the ones on the ceiling.

a ginger boy's first day home

I think I'll visit this forum and look at cat pics whenever I need something to cheer me up from now on. Here is my contribution to the collection of beautiful cats at TCS. As you can see, Blarney made himself at home right away! Snuggling in my lap. This WAS my bed, until Blarney...

    Long-time cat person, first-time caller.

Thanks to all for the welcome. I've never listened to the Bob and Tom show. I'll have to check it out. The word "verbivore" was coined by author and humorist Richard Lederer. A verbivore is someone who loves and devours language. Cats are carnivores, and I'm a verbivore. Of course, Blarney...

the cat & the min pin

Does anyone have experience introducing a cat to a tiny, yapping dog, in this case a miniature doberman (min pin)? The dog, Bitzy, belongs to my roommate; my cat is the newbie in the house. Like my roommate, the dog is a sweetheart but extremely high-strung. I'm not sure if this makes a...

    Long-time cat person, first-time caller.

Hello! I was directed to TCS by another member, a dear friend of mine. I come from a family of cat lovers; my mother is thrilled about her new grandcat. (It'll be a while before she gets a human grandchild.) I couldn't have asked for a better companion! I grew up with cats but never had one of...
