yes they are both acting normal. I didn't find a hairball or anything near the discharge spots, though. our old cat has never ever had an issue with hairballing, so I'm totally unfamiliar with what that is all about please bear with me
we have 2 cats, one is 3.5yr the other is about 9 months. Both female, both fixed.
sunday we came home and found two odd puddles on the floor, one was watery with a bit of yellow in it, the other was watery with a bit of pink in it. it had no noticeable odor so I don't think it was urine. Both...
He was at the shelter for approx 1 year. But the other cats there are very friendly. He wont look any of us in the eyes and just cowers. He must have been abused or something before the shelter. He wont come out anywhere we are....
We rescued a long haired siamese/balinese cat from a shelter this weekend. He is very nice looking, but very shy. At the shelter he was playing lots with the other cats but shyed away from people.
He is 2 or 3 years old, male, fixed
We kept him in his own room with amenities for a couple of...
we have one spayed female in the house right now. As for posturing, there wouldn't be any competition to speak of, but there would be the female to impress. Hey baby, check out this urine smell...
yes I also have been reading/hearing that personalities, and also the method of introduction, plays the largest role in the cats' long term relationship.
thanks for the advice!
She is pretty laid back but we are concerned with the urine smell from the male cat we are looking to adopt. He is 3 and getting neutered tomorrow and was a breeder cat....
We are thinking of getting a purebred himalayan otherwise our other option is a purebred female belinise so we are trying to weigh our options with both. I just dont our house to smell like strong urine
we have a fixed female cat and are looking for a companion
I've heard stories going both way, as to whether it's better to introduce a male to a female.
Will two females be enemies for life in spite of my best efforts?
Does it matter whether or not either of them is or is not fixed?
we've been looking at getting a male cat who is a retired breeder. He's 4 years old and is getting neutered now.
Our vet had told us that the urine smell, even in litter, from a potent male cat is very strong, and usually persists for a long time after fixing. They keep them in a separate room...
hmm our himi/rag cat has more hair than the pure himi does. I use the term "brush" loosely, we do have to comb our cat aswell as use the slicker brush.
The person who has the new cat said his coat is somewhat different right now than usual because he's got hormones raging from being bred, but...
Hello
I have a cat who is a cross of a pure himalayan and pure ragamuffin. We find that she sheds more in sporatic clumps of hair around the floor, rather than totally coating surfaces with hair like I notice shorthaired cats do. She also gets brushed at least once a day, with a haircut a few...
