Thank you everyone. Because I was taking her so early in the morning to the vet, I did not give her anything. She actually started feeling better too in the wee early hours of the morning. The vet checked her urine and no blood so good news and the best news was that her kidney levels were up...
Hi. I have an appt with the vet tomorrow morning but read on the internet that I could give her a small amt of plain yogurt to help her tummy. Do I help her or wait to go to the vet? She is 13 by the way and in CRF. Thank you.
DawnofSierra, What is the new diet you put your cat on for CRF and what rituals are you doing? My cat was diagnosed last year and we are struggling with the food. She seems to really like licking the gravy in the can food and when it dries up, I have to add a little bit of water. Any...
Thank you. I am glad Leopold got through that Baytril and glad to hear kitties do not like it. I thought it was maybe the way they made it since they had to crush the pills and make it a liquid.
Thank you for your help and hope Leopold is doing well.
Thank you all. Just an update. All is good. Vet said there was no blood in her urine from the sample. She thought as one of you mentioned she had a reaction maybe to the chemicals sprayed and maybe I helped clear it up with the amoxicillan I gave her. Her blood levels were about the same so...
Thank you all. We are going to the vet now. I will keep you posted. I will have to try the dishwashing soap too. I tried canine pepper, baby powder, vinegar. Nothing worked, those ants are stubborn. It can not hurt to try anything. I hope she is okay and I will let you guys know. Thanks...
Hi. I have not been on in some time because my Chloe has been doing better with her CRF. My question is, is there a link to an exterminator coming out to treat my house for ants (real bad here and getting into Chloe's food) and my Chloe getting sick, possible UTI? It happened last year...
Thank you for your suggestions. I do use water to make some gravy in the can food she already is eating. Thought there might be something more substantial. All I can get her to eat so far for can food is friskies not for crf and Royal Canin modified formula they say is for crf. We tried k/d...
Hi everyone! My Chloe is in CRF and loves to lick the juice from her can food. Any ideas on a gravy I can put on her food to keep it moist and that she can eat. I bought chicken stock but saw it has onion in it and I do not think that is good for cats (think I read on that on here). Also...
I thank everyone for all their help. I really am glad I found this site. I think I cleared up the clumping litter. I tried a different litter and it is clumping much better. Guess not all clumping litters that say they are, are clumping. I thought it was my cat's urine not concentrating...
Thank you. So would I need to have her tested for an allergy? Could it be the colder weather and dry skin like humans get? Thanks again for all your help!
Good idea about the food and an allergy. She did have fleas a few weeks ago but they are gone. I can not find any on her, put advantage on and I did foggers in the house. Never thought about food allergy. We have been doing the royal canin food and her food she has always been on, friskies...
I am going throught the same thing. My kitty has never been so finicky. Now she barely touches her can cat food and used to love it. She did have blood work done and she is in Kidney failure and only 12.5. Have your kitty checked out. Is your cat, drinking a lot of water. That was my first...
I will try scoop away. Have not tried that brand yet. Thank you.
We have tried k/d and she did not like it. Thank you though for the suggestion. I will also keep the pedialyte in mind if I need to use it.
Thank you.
I am using clumping litter, it sometimes clumps but I think because she is going more and the nonconcentration it is just sticky and I have to scrape it out of the litter.
She is not on fluids yet because she is eating and the vet suggested we wait to do that. She is just so restless...
The vet told me a while back that her urine is not concentrating so that is why it is not clumping in the litter (clumpable litter being used) and going so often. I just did not know if other ppl had the same problem. Hard to dig out of the litter box and no fun.
She is being very, very...
Hi everyone. My cat was recently diagnosed with CRF. She is 12.5. I am new to this situation. Does anyone with this same diagnoses have problems scooping the litter box. I know her urine is not concentrating but in the litter box it is very sticky. She is going more I know since she is...
