    Very important question

No they are three 7-week old kittens. There is 3 of them, and they are about 7 weeks old. They seem to be doing really well, not one accident, they use the litter box, they eat hard and canned food, they are very social with each other and other cats, and the last two I caught are coming along a...

    Sleepy kitten syndrome

Could it be it's just how she's reacting to the meds? They might make her sleepy? Or just needs the sleep to help recouperate after the distemper? When babies are sick they tend to sleep alot of it off.

    The whole family indoors!!

Well, they are a bit young still for speutering, only about 7 weeks. They need to be de-wormed, flea treated and vaccinated asap. The only thing is neither my friend nor I drive so I have to wait for the lady who helps run the rescue to have time to come and get them to bring them to the vet...

    The whole family indoors!!

I caught her!! It was crazy! I had to leave some sardines right by the opening of under the deck while I waited quietly and patiently over top. I didn't move, and after only waiting for about 10 minutes, I saw her under the deck coming to eat. I waited for a minute than leaned forward and...

    I got the feral!!

I forgot!! When you let new cat out, you can also put your resident cats in HIS room, to aid in getting them used to his scent.

    I got the feral!!

You have got it all covered!!!! I would leave the door open and watch then, see their reactions. Maybe try your more curious cat first? It might go easier one at a time. Since they've already been sniffing at the door for a couple days, thats the first step. If there's a bad reaction between the...

    I got the feral!!

I think you should wait a while before doing introductions. How feral is this cat? Is it an adult? You may want to test for diseases and get the cat desexed before introducing them. Once you do that, the feral cat may find some comfort in having a friend. Unless, they fight.

    Feral kittens caught in trap?

Oh of course she will be spayed, I meant if we could I would like to tame her but if we can't get the kitten we're going to have to let her go after the vets (and a little recovery time of course). She's alright with people, a little bit anyways, so I think she could become a housecat. If I let...

Thanks for the reply! Well I got one momma, I caught one of her kittens by hand about 2 or 3 days ago. She did have 2 more kittens, but we have only seen the one today(black) and I guess for a couple days he(gray) has been missing. The lady who's backyard he lives in says we will be able to...

    Feral kittens caught in trap?

I'm worried about the traps I have...they are very nice, clean, brand-new-looking humane traps from the AC but since I'm trying to catch a couple moms and their babies, I'm worried maybe mom will go into trap, kitten behind her and the baby will get caught when the door shuts. Has anyone ever...

How safe are my own cats?

My own cat and my foster are absoloutely 100% UTD on vaccines. The changing clothes thing and washing hands will be done. They (the ferals) will have their own rooms where they can't come into contact with my cats. I would ask my vet or the rescue, but I was also trying to get some opinions...
