I don't have plants, and there's nothing around the house really that he can get into. He is also an indoor cat, so picking something up from outside is not really a consideration either.
I say psychological because I'd been away for 8 days over Christmas and left him in the care of a friend...
Update:
Rufus is still in kitty hospital, but now that they've rehydrated him, sedated him and given him pain killers, the vet is now uncovinced there's an obstruction. The abdominal xrays were also inconclusive. Good news is he's stopped vomiting, and they're gonna keep him on IV fluids...
Well I took him to the emergency vet. Two and a half hours later he actually got to see the vet, who informs me that he has an obstruction in his small intestine, but from what, they don't know yet. Of course by that stage as well he was clinically dehydrated. So now my poor lil pussy cat is...
He hasn't been given any food last night and his food bowl is empty. I have changed his water, but I don't have any electrolyte solutions in the house, and everything is shut because of the New Year holiday. Dehydration is a real concern as I live in Queensland, and we're expecting 30C + for...
My beloved little hairball Rufus has spewed up 7 times today. About a month or so ago, he had a similar episode of vomiting, after which I took him to the vet. The vet gave him an injection and some tablets (antibiotics and some others to settle his stomach) which seemed to work up til today...
Just wondered in case it was something diet related, like not enough dry food or something to grind them down a bit a guess. Not that he's a rat or anything!!! Guess he just has big teeth like his mummy had before she grew into them! LOL!!
Hey guys!!!! I got this at work the other day and laughed till I cried! Hope you appreciate it too!
How to give your cat a pill...
1) Pick up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on each side of cat's mouth and gently apply...
Flavour of the week, so to speak, is the cord from the iron. That's the only one I have seen him play with. Probably attractive 'cos it's wiggling all over the joint. He just gets a warning from the spray bottle and a "BAHHHHHHH" when he starts to go stupid with it.
1. How did you come up with your internet nickname?
My name is Catherine and Cat is short for it. As for Catran, my friends in high school thought it was a good alternative for Catherine.
2. What is your favorite dessert?
Eek! Too many! I'm a sweet tooth. Anything from apple pie, to ice...
Yeah, it is a carpet covered one, so the only thing i can think of to do at the moment, is to tell him off and spray him with water (pointing the sprayer works too) when he scratches something he isn't supposed to, and not saying anything when he does the right thing. I thought about catnip...
It's not food I have trouble getting him eat, except for the dry stuff. And for the record, yes my man did fess up. Otherwise I seriously would have continued to believe that puss did a poo somewhere and I just couldn't find it!
Yeah GMT stays the same. Daylight saving is a convenience thing I guess you could say! But as it is autumn here now, we don't have it. Not that we have it in Queensland where I live anyway. Australian time zones are a mess in summer!
Yeah, that's the sort of thing he only gets to play with SUPERVISED. Don't want any unfortunate incidents occuring! There are the usual unfortunate incidents to be expected though when you're a kitten, like getting stepped on, nearly getting shut in the fridge door... etc, etc! LOL! I NEED A...
I noticed today that the time on the site has jumped an hour ahead. Australia is on GMT + 10, but it appears that since daylight saving started in the USA, it added it on here too. Trivial, but you get that
Whether you can fix it or not, I don't know, but now you know at least there is...
Last night I thought that the tinned food had had an unpleasant reaction with his tummy and intestines... I thought he'd let off really really badly.
Then I realised that my guy had taken his shoes off and that it was in fact his feet that smelt. Not my poor lil kitty who copped the blame...
I am in Australia, so we don't have PetsMart here. I suppose the closest would be Pets Paradise. But I haven't seen anything like that there, and they're usually expensive anyway.
He does have a few balls to play with that wobble or have bells in, but I have discovered he's far more...
