    Reintroducing our kittens...

We have two 8 month old kittens. About 7 weeks ago one of them got injured and had to go through surgery. After this we had to keep them separated for that 7 weeks. Now Oz is all healed and yesterday we released him to join Ninja in the rest of the house. Ninja though was not too happy about...

    After surgery worries....

One more thing...if you have something that your cat jumps on that their legs can go through and get stuck, get rid of it right away or cover it with something so their legs will be protected. Oz is still doing great but this is something a 7 month old kitten shouldn't have to go through. I...

    After surgery worries....

Sorry it's been a while since I have updated! We have been busy keeping Oz comfortable! The first night back was the worst because I don't think that he realized he was back home with us. But after a few hours and some scratches and bites he calmed down and has been calm ever since. He's...

    After surgery worries....

The cage that we have is, as my mom puts it, the size of a standard pillow. She used it a long time ago when she first got a puppy. I started to think it wouldn't be big enough last night. It would be nice for him to have access to everything he needs in that one cage.

    After surgery worries....

Okay, change that! The doc called me again...and said that it's limited movement and total separation from Ninja. So it's a bit more straight forward than I thought. Some tips would still be nice if any of you got them! He also said that we can visit him tomorrow so my husband and I are rushing...

    After surgery worries....

Hello everyone. Last night my husband and I were eating dinner when we heard some small crashes in the bedroom. We went to check to see what happened in enough time to get hissed at by one of our 7 month old kittens, Oz, then he went straight under the bed. Checking the room we saw nothing...

    Yucky poo

Don't bother bringing in a sample unless you catch it while your cat is going to the bathroom. Some vets won't take it if it has litter in it because it's contaminated. The vets like it fresh and will take a sample when you bring your kitten in.

    Suckling...

For the longest time our cat Oz has been seen suckling on NInja's belly. Now when he can't get the belly from Ninja, he'll start suckling his own belly. It is the funniest and cutest thing. He massages the floor or Ninja's belly with his paws while he's doing it. Has anyone seen this before?

    Odor???

Well we took him to the vet and it was his anal sacs. The vet said there was a lot more fluid in there than there is supposed to be but that there was no sign of infection. He also told me to keep an eye out for diahrreah because this could keep the fluids from coming out naturally. He said...

    Odor???

He's neutered. He is almost six months. It just makes me wonder because the other kitten doesn't have the smell and he's the same age and neutered too.

    Odor???

One of my kittens has a stinky back. Sometimes it's after he goes to the bathroom and sometimes not. Is this usual? It's of course nearer to his behind that smells and my goodness it's a strong odor. But then after while it doesn't smell as bad. I have watched him go to the bathroom and his...

    Kitties climbing up the television...

Okay so we didn't try the balloons, my husband had the same concerns about them eating the pieces. We tried the aluminum foil and it seems to be working all though I think they are eating that or at least using it to chew on and play with! So needless to say we have moved it out of their reach...

Both kittens have blood in stool...

Thanks everyone! Sorry it's been so long but I have been busy! I took both kittens in and now they are both on antibiotics. One had Coc-something (common in cats can be caused by stress) and the other had an unusual amount of bacteria (this one was also given a dewormer just in case). I have...

    Kitties climbing up the television...

Yeah, really it's not that they ARE on top of the TV, it's HOW they get up there. Thanks I'll give that a shot!

    Kitties climbing up the television...

Hi everyone. New problem...our kittens are starting to climb the television by the speakers. To give a better visual (hopefully) we have a big screen TV that sits on the floor and the speakers are attached to the sides of the television and go all the way to the top. We have tried the tape...

Both kittens have blood in stool...

Ok so this morning I wait for them to go to the bathroom so that I can take samples into the vet, I notice one cat doesn't have blood in his stool anymore and the other has less than he had yesterday. Would this possibly be a food allergy? I only think this because I have been having to take...

Both kittens have blood in stool...

No they weren"t checked for worms but I do not believe that's what they have unless it's not that severe yet. The only symptom that they have that comes along with worms is the diahrrea. That makes me think it could possibly be something else. I am still going to take them in ASAP to find...
