Hi there Sandie, Welcome to TCS. I recently joined too (I'm in Sydney, Australia) and am sure you will find this site very useful. I have 2 Devon Rexes as you see below, who might even call Canada home some day soon! I used to live in Vancouver in 97/98 and my hubbie and I are trying to...
Hi there and welcome to TCS,
Just to add to Satai - one thing to consider is that some cats just don't like doing number 1's and number 2's in the same litter box. Maybe if you got 2 litter boxes, you might find that she'll use one to pee and one to poop.
(Might save your bed!)
Let me know how...
Golden Kitty,
Your opinion was very interesting to me. I have Devon Rexes and was feeding them Hills Sciecne Diet until recently as it had been recommended by the breeder and the vet. However, one of my guys got a digestion problem AND lost most of his coat (which was thick). I switched to...
Evryone has been so kind I thought I would update you - Ellie is doing really well and is back to her energetic happy self. She is on her antibiotics and whilst her wound is swollen it is looking clean. I immediately stopped the wound spray as soon as I heard that it could be toxic.
Thanks so...
Hey there Sparklesbling!!

Sure made me think twice. I had been burning...
Poor Ellie has an infection I feel like such a bad meowmy. As a Devon Rex, her neck and head is so small that even the smallest collar / little bucket thing falls right off her head so of course I could not stop her licking herself, and her brother got in on the act too! They gave her an...
Hi Lilleah,
I have 2 pieces of advice. I switched to a hooded litter tray, but as the 1st step, I removed the cat flap so they didn't have to walk through it. Then after a week or two of getting used to the hood I put the cat flap back in and they were happy to walk through it (after a test or...
Hi peeps,
IMO, go for two, and preferrably 2 cats that already know each other. Not only does it make them settle down faster, but you know what you are getting and can see them interact together before you bring them home.
I have 2 that were from the same cattery but 2 different litters. They...
This is all interesting. I had heard before I got my 2 kittens that boys were the way to go, but I decided on getting a boy & a girl.
I agree that it really depends on the character of the cat. My boy is outgoing, friendly and a rascal at times, but always loves a cuddle. My girl is a true girly...
Ellie has her appt to get her stitches out in 6 days from now. I did ring the vet today and they said I could bring her in if I was worried, but I guess I am just not sure what was normal and am wondering if others have seen similar behaviour and if people thought she should be more playful by now.
Hi there,
I am the proud mum of 2 Aussie Devon Rex kittens - 5 months old. Ted and Ellie. After 2 short months I already don't know what I would do without them! After never being a cat owner before (well at 4yrs old, but I don't think that counts!) my eyes are being opened to the majestic world...
Hi,
My 2 gorgeous Devon rex kittens (5mths old) were desexed 5 days ago. Ted, the boy is doing well and is like nothing happened. The girl, Ellie has had it much harder. I know that the op is much more serious for a girl, but she was very active and playful and even now is not interested in...
