    shower curtains

My shower curtains haven't gotten as destroyed as yours. Luckily one of my cats just likes to sit in between the curtains as opposed to destroying them. I can't really offer you any advice but I can say good luck.

New cat often has tears running down face

Okay, I've got a new cat around here, as you may have read in my past threads. The two cats do a lot of rough-housing and aren't getting along great but are tolerating each other. But, it's definitely not uncommon if I'm not paying attention to them for a minute, that I will hear some fighting...

    Growling and Hissing while playing?

These cats are confusing me. They still get in loud tussles involving my older cat growling but they never seem too concerned after it's over and still lie down near each on the floor. The fights are loud and the chases seem dramatic but I guess they're nothing to worry about as neither cat is...

    Growling and Hissing while playing?

As I mentioned on another thread, I just recently got a younger cat in my apartment and finished introductions with my formally single cat. Things are getting better over time but every now and then they still get in a wrestling match or a chase that involves my older cat on her back and...

My cat only wants to eat wet food

It's been about two years since I've taken in this stray and I do give her wet food quite a bit but I always keep out dried food as well and now it's come to the point where she just constantly follows me and meows and bugs me until I give her wet food, which I try to do once every two or three...

How do I introduce the new kitten???

That's exciting. Good luck. Since it sounds like it's a tiny kitten, it should help the introductions (I assume) since Princess wouldn't be intimidated by it. I'm still trying to smooth out my introductions with a young female cat and my adult female cat. It's been rough and hectic. Just make...

    A second cat after moving?

Yeah, I wish I knew to get a male kitten for my female cat beforehand beacuse I worry if the fact that they're both females may be causing some of the fighting with them.

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

Hiya, amazalea. Well, I haven't gotten the plug-in yet because I briefly had new hope. It seemed the cats were progressing and getting to the point where they could at least stand each other and let the other one sleep around the house or something. But, this afternoon has been a disaster with...

The incorrect way of introducing new kittens

Good luck, brennok. Sounds like you got yourself quite the adventure over there. Try to make the best of it!

    A second cat after moving?

I just experienced a similar situation. I moved to a completely new location with my cat a few months back and now have gotten a cat. I didn't get one right away because I wanted the cat to adjust first and get settled. However, if you're moving back to a place the cat is already familiar with...

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

Thanks much, Yosemite. The girls are definitely showing signs of improvement now. They're not best buddies but I'll hold out hope for that. I will definitely get the youngest checked out by the vet as far as the urinary tract infection goes. She did it once before, a few days after I got her...

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

They are definitely getting along better and tolerating each other (for the most part) for longer periods of time now. But, the youngest cat just peed on a throw rug while out with the old cat today. So, that's not a good sign. I guess I definitely have to look into Feliway now for that problem.

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

I hope so as well. But, does anybody have advice as far as getting cats to get along after they've already initially met? Should I use Feliway? I know nothing about the product really so I don't know if that's the answer or not.

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

Heh, that's great, Jenny. You're luckier than me. They're fine eating treats in front of each other and everything. Only the old cat hissed initially in the early meetings. Now that the intial meets are over with, the only hissing happens when they are fighting each other.

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

Thanks to you both for the responses. I had read that thread previously and other articles on introducing cats. However, maybe I rushed my meeting because these two definitely aren't sharing good vibes. They seem to ignore each other for 20 minutes or so and sniff each other here and there until...

    Stressed out kitties after meeting

I have an orange tabby that is a little over 2 years old and was a stray and has gone through two moving situations already, unfortunately, so she has had a lot of adjusting to do. She's been very good with it all and always finds a way to make herself happy. My girlfriend and I decided that we...
