They have all been snipped. Today I thought we made a break through, misty came within inches of the cage, and mao-wow got all over excited, leg swinging out, meowing, rolling on his back etc, but it freaked misty out.Thank you for the link, I shall check it out now. xx
Please can someone give me some advice.
Mao-wow arrived a year ago, we have 2 other cats Rusty and Misty.
They hated him form the word go. He has his safe room, he has a big cage he goes into when the girls are about.
He see's them get over excited, arm through cage, waving it, meows, hair...
Thank you for the replies. I have given the girls one of mao-wows blankets today. They just keep moving away from it. Although Rusty fell asleep on it earlier, a bit unaware!! I never thought it would be this hard x
Hello everyone, I have posted about this subject last summer, and still need help. We have 2 girls misty and Rusty, but in the summer we ended up with moa-wow, an 11 month old stray. He has been seen to by the vets and had the snip.
As advice, I gave him his safe room, which happens to be my...
Hello Carolina, Rusty is doing fantastic, thank you for asking. Shes is now at a healthy weight, and eating well. I am so grateful to you all for your advice and vibes through such a hard time xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Just an update to inform everyone who kindly gave me advice and support that Rusty has been given the all. The vet is iver the moon with her progress, and the jaundice has disappeared. She will go back onto a control diet for her urinary problem. Thank you all again for the help and support I...
Rusty is back to the vets on wednesday and I am going to discuss Rusty going back on to the urinary food, she did use toi have the biscuits, and that why she ended ip putting the weight on. It seems they do a wet food for urinary, and to be honest she hates biscuits. The vet did say she would...
Sending vibes to you and Candy
Our vet suggested Feliway, because Rusty gets a little stressed at times, and we adopted a stray in the summer, and she said this would helpthe situation, but to be hinest I have seen no evidence of any change in behaviour. I bought the diffuser x
She wont eat the a/d again. But she is eating Tuna Sheba, roughly about 4-5 80g tins a day. plus any treats she will eat which have her tablets hidden in them. What I find strange is, she has never cried for her food, until now. x
Just a quick update. Rusty has had movement, thank god. But after the stress of yesterday she has lost her appetite again. Only eating a little at a time. I did manage to get her to eat a few treats which were laced with her antibiotics. Just her other tablet to give her now!! I think the trip...
Well it seemed we took a step forward for her to take 5 back. A very stressful vets trip. She was sick in the car, which is normal for her. But at the vets, the vet gave her the huge antibiotic, which she fought against. We came home and within an hour she was sick again. To me it looked like...
Thank you for the replies. She hasn't had a movement since Saturday I think, maybe Friday. She keeps going to her litter tray, having a good scratch about and then nothing. She is peeing though. She seems restless too. She is at the vets at 10am. Also her appetite seems to have come back...
We have to go back to the vets tomorrow as she is now constipated, but still wants to eat. Which I'm a bit reluctant about, as it might make her feel worse. There is no winning at the moment!!! x
She had more energy then me today but I won't complain. Ive realised she will only eat the a/d when I catch her asleep, the element of suprise. She thinks its the other food, and eats it. Then realises!!! As long as she is getting some is better then none. But she is loving the Sheba xxx
Just a quick update, I finally got her to eat the a/d last night, on her own. Obviously the Sheba is helping her appetite, then I re-introduced the a/d. She is full of beans this morning. So much so she has had me up twice during the night for food x
Thanks for the reply Jenny, I wonder if this will help when giving her her tablets, as we had a problem this morning and in the end i had to cut the antibiotic into 8 little pieces!!! She is loving the tuna Sheba but not so keen on the chicken. Will have to go another shop tomorrow :0)
I'm a bit worried about giving her something like fromage frais, as last summer she had kidney stones, and also when she was diagnosed with HL she also had cystitis. And I'm not sure how her tummy would take it. Poor little thing has certainly had a few problems this past 18 months. x
Rusty is home. I gave her the Sheba, and she has been eating it, little and often. The vet still wants her to eat the a/d but I really dont think that will happen. But I will try. She wont come near me at the moment as she thinks im going to force feed again. I even have to go into the bedroom...
