Another option if you are unable to find much commercial food is to learn how to feed a proper home made diet.
I'm sure your cat will do very well on it as it's a healthier diet all around.
I personally would not feed Purina anything.
Cheers!
Some cats tummies will be more sensitive then others.
I know my gang couldn't handle a steak that was marinated or had spices on it, but I will feed them peices of bare bones human food on the floor or in their bowl.
They are already terrible food theifs I don't want to encourage them getting...
By only throwing up a couple of times over a matter of days, I would not be too concerned yet.
Keep an eye on her, slow down her eating, raise her bowl up on a phone book for meal times. Make sure she doesn't drink too much water directly afterwards (this can cause some animals to vomit).
And...
Mine did just fine on the Evo, though it was too expensive for my taste, and I switched them onto RAW shortly after.
You may benefit from a water fountain instead of just changing the water in a bowl for better fluid consumption.
Cheers!
Abbysmom: Pet Gold does not have by-products in it.
Pet Gold Elite that is.
It is only sold at Petco, so I'm sure you can find them there. My cats went nuts for them years ago when it first came out.
Here is a sample ingredient from their formulas.

AbbysMom:
Have you tried Fancy Feast or Pet Gold (the kinds with real peices of meat in them)? What about smooshing up the nutro packets into the gravey, sometimes that has worked for others.
Yes she needs to take him to a vet.
Not eating, constant visits to the litter box, excess water consumption and lethargy are all signs that warrant a vet trip today!
As scientific research yields more proven results regarding the effectiveness of vaccines in our companion animals both veterinaries and the government will start to be more open to suggestions of vx every 3 years.
Hopefully ultimately just get the rounds done once, some with boosters for the...
As far as the smell goes my bet is placed largely on the dry food. Try another kind or switch to a wet food only diet. You may have to try a few until you find some that agree with his system and generate less stinky poos.
Another thing to consider is that the litter your using is not a good...
While I will say my cats love that stuff, I personally wouldn't feed it more then an occasional treat. There are several more desirable foods that could be meant for a staple diet.
I know I'm not the only one out there with this problem. But after going on for over a year now myself and the members of my house hold have gotten pretty fed up with the 3 cats antics.
They are OBSESSED with food. They always have been, but this is a new degree. They fight to the point of...

I used to think the same thing about Authority for years, I've fed it to my gang in the past, and I've fed it to a feral colony I used to care for.
However I know a lady whom is a highly knowledgeable cat vet, she's visited an Authority plant and she said the conditions overall were...
sharky:
Yeah, I'd certainly agree on that one!
While animals have had less then 100 years on cooked food, let alone these scientific diets in a shorter time span. Even in Japan, it's only been recent in the past 30 years now that they have started to feed kibbled/canned diets.
Humans on the...
Could very well be, though being black and tarry is generally an indication of blood. But being that it was only on one of the small pieces (the smallest) of the 3, hopefully it's not too big of a deal.
He's back in quarantine to see how the rest of his stools are, etc.
sharky: On that same level, then I hope none of us ever home cook and use recipes! LOL. I can tell you those are not scientifically tested as well.
So... should we all eat the prepackaged food made by doctors?? The doctors that designed the Atkins or South Beach diet, we should all just eat...
