I realized that the runt of the litter doesn't eat nearly as much as the other babies so I gave it KMR in a bottle and it drank it like crazy. I gave all the kittens, except Chris-he's a big big boy and had completely weaned his mama already, milk in a bottle and they all drank a whole bottle...
Okay, I've got my six kittens and no mom anymore.
Some of you may remember me from just a couple of weeks back. Let me explain the story a little to fill you guys in.
Holstein was a stray that showed up, we brought her in during her pregnancy, and she had her litter.
Well, she was always a great...
I can't get her inside. She is terrified of me and won't allow me anywhere near her. I've tried several times to get her in here. She's just like her mom, totally wild. She is eating well now, but whines still. Oddly enough I saw the mom at the backside of the property yesterday, but she won't...
I looked to see if there was a forum for something like this but didn't see one so forgive me if this isn't allowed Mods.
I saw this posted on AOL News just now:
Tabby Cat Chases Bear Up Tree, Twice
Jack, a 15-pound orange-and-white cat, watches as the bear waits for an opening to flee...
Okay, some of you may remember me posting a couple of weeks ago about the feral cat outside that had four kittens. Well, I was feeding them and waiting on the people to call back about the traps for the kittens and the mom. Well she and three of her kittens disappeared yesterday. She was...
I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I have six kittens, I'm sure you all have seen plenty of pictures of them , and they are 2 weeks and 2 days old.
I've heard I should be trying to give them a few feedings on the side each day to help Holstein, but they are refusing the little...
Just wanted to show off the babies. They are two weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe it. They have all opened their eyes. Only Oddkins still keeps them closed slightly though. LOL
Aren't they sweet?
It's bad for them. Here is what I found:

Q. If you feed cats dogfood, can it cause them to go blind?
I know it's a strange question, but I've read that dog food is harmful for cats. It looks and smells much like cat food and my cats seem...
I was wondering about this myself. My one kitten Chris has huge paws, twice the size of the other kittens. I think he'll be big. He's the biggest kitten period.
Is it keeping it's legs straight out behind it? My kittens are 1 week and 3 days and move around real low to the ground naturally, but they do use their back legs. I've never had baby kittens before so I don't know if that is normal or abnormal to be honest. Sorry I'm not much help.
I hope your...
Allie, let me ask you something. On that one site it said that calicos are very tempermental. Is that true?
That worries me a little being that I have four children.
Anybody else with calicos please respond too. Stormy is one of the ones that is and we are keeping her. So I'm curious if she's...
I have learned today that torties ARE calicos, but the ones called calicos are technically the ones with patches of orange/red , white, and black or blue.
Here is something that is very helpful on striped cats:
A true tricolor must have one of its colors derived from the red gene -- either red...
See this kitten.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Kaka.JPG
.see how all the colors are mixed together in its patterns? This is a tortie. A calico is a kitten that has it's orange/red spots without colors all through it, the same as it's other colors. Nothing is all stripped together like...
Well if you read the article up there it says patches of color that is not mixed in. I figure this means the mixed in spots, not the all mixed up color like the torties show. So I don't think your's is a calico because the red is blended in and not in patches. Does that make sense?
