My cat prefers cold water from the fridge. I use Oxyfresh for their teeth so I need to fill a jug and store it in the fridge. As soon as I put the fresh water in their dish Sebastian is right there drinking. Try ice cold water, you never know.

If the kitten seems laid back then it is probably a good choice. I personally prefer male cats as females tend to have attitudes in my experience. But I am sure whichever decision you make will be the right one! You know your kitty better than anyone. Good luck!
