PLEASE help -- how to get cat to take kitten back

Hello, A week or so ago, I started feeding a stray that was hanging around my parents' house looking skinny and pathetic. She was around all the time, and polishing off half a can or more of Evo at one sitting. Anyway, it's getting cold here, and I decided to take the cat to our local shelter...

Frustrated w/ kitten's loose stools -- please help!

I've been doing the scruff-test for dehydration, and she's been fine. After a couple days of the probiotic, cutting out the solid gold, and cutting back on the wet food, Maeby's stool seems to be firming up. Yay! I've notice that her morning bowel movement is usually fine, formed but on the soft...

    Drinking water

Have you tried putting a water dish somewhere away from the food dish? For some reason, my cats won't drink the water that's beside their food, but they'll drink from the other water bowls we have around the house.

Frustrated w/ kitten's loose stools -- please help!

I've posted about our kitten Maeby a few times with respect to different things. I'm so frustrated and stressed out right now, I have no idea what to do. We got Maeby about 2 weeks ago and she's now the best of friends with our other cat, Bella. Maeby is 4 months old. Here's the situation: -...

    catteries/cat B&B's

We leave our cat (now we have 2 though) in a "cat hotel" when we go away. We checked out about 5 of them before choosing this one. Basically, we got a really good vibe from the place, checked it out, made sure the cats had to be vaccinated, and made sure that cats from different families were...

    WBCL and cleaning the box.

I use WBCL as well -- 2 cats (one is a kitten), 3 boxes (but they only use one) and I scoop 2x/day, replace about once every month and a half or so. It never smells, I probably wouldn't even need to replace it, but I feel kinda gross about putting old litter back in after disinfecting the box.

    Diarrhea or loose stool? Normal?

I left a message for the vet, and she's going to call me back tomorrow. In any case, I think I'll just take out the EVO for now to see what happens -- I've only been putting in like 4 or 5 grains of it, but I know that it is rich. Hmmm. I'm not keen on not giving her ANY wet food, so I think...

    Update on my fighting-playing kitties!

I posted last week about my 4-month-old kitten, Maeby, and my 1.5-year-old cat, Bella. I wasn't sure if their introduction was going well. Everyone told me not to worry -- and they were right! Bella and Maeby are getting along wonderfully, following each other around, licking each other, playing...

    Diarrhea or loose stool? Normal?

We have a 1.5 year old cat and a 4 month old kitten. The cat has always had very little in the way of bowel movements, and they don't smell at all. She's not a big eater. The kitten, however, is another story -- we got her almost two weeks ago, and her stools have been unlike those of our older...

    HELP! -- playing or fighting?

Thanks for the advice, again. Day 2 of the cats together seems a wee bit better; they'll be pretty calm for a bit and Bella will just watch Mae explore, and then all he** will break loose and they'll tussle. Bella sort of pins Mae and looks like she's biting her, and then when Mae calms down a...

    HELP! -- playing or fighting?

Oh no, I would never get rid of one of them! I think maybe I'm a bit neurotic about this whole thing. I would probably be less freaked out if the kitten didn't squeak and if it didn't look like Bella was squishing her. The kitten is about 3 lbs and a bit and Bella is 8 lbs. Thanks for your quick...

    HELP! -- playing or fighting?

We have a 15-month old cat, Bella, and we recently acquired a new 4-month old kitten, Mae. Both are spayed females. We've kept Mae isolated in a room for a few days, and she's been checked by our vet. We let the cats sniff each other through a gap in the door, and tonight we introduced them...

    Cat boarding question...

She is an indoor cat, but we take her outside on our deck with her leash and harness. The outdoor runs at the boarding facility are also deck-like (i.e. they're wooden). We also plan on taking her into our new backyard on her leash once we move... She's pretty good about waiting for her leash...

    Cat boarding question...

Hello, I'm a new poster but I've been reading these forums with interest for some time now. My fiance and I are getting married in June, going on a 10-day honeymoon and moving to a new house the day after we get back from the honeymoon. Our cat, Bella, will be just under a year old at that...
