Just to let you guys know - it's been one week since Julius vomitted, and he has been acting, looking, and eating completely healthy - it looks as if he's recovered from whatever that was bothering him. Hooray!!! Thank you guys for all the support and help!

Funny you should mention that - I've been having bee problems on the balcony of my apartment, outside of the livingroom, and Julius loves hanging out at the window and swatting at them from behind the glass. But just yesterday, a couple bees actually managed to slip through the cracks (I have...
Yeah - my concerns exactly. We've stopped giving him twistie ties, and instead, milk jug rings and large cable ties.
Julius says thanks! My wife and I actually weren't looking at orange and white cats, but we fell in love as soon as we saw his pictures on the shelter, and had to bring him...
Update: Julius has definitely been improving. The frequency of the vomitting has decreased dramatically, and he hasn't thrown up since Saturday. This is definitely good signs - I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the input and support!

Just did some search on the web - it does seem that Julius is a Turkish Angora. He looks identical to several of the pictures I've found on Google.
Good to know.

Awesome - I've seen it at a friend's house for his cat, and he LOVED those. I just couldn't remember what it's called - gonna pickup some for Julius. ...provided he gets better from his liver thingie. (See my other thread, if you want the full scoop)

Julius is pretty talkative too, which we didn't expect when we adopted him. He would meow just before meal times, when he curious about something you're doing, when he sees you home...though that last one that might be a function of the meal times thing, since he would then walk straight over...
Oh yeah - Julius loves aluminum wrappers too, but I think that has more to do with the sound it makes when he plays with it.

P.S. Julius is sitting on my lap, and reading this post as I'm typing. I don't think he can read English, though, so he's probably just faking it...
Julius LOVES twisty-ties - you know, those wire things you use to tie-up plastic bags at the supermarket. It made us a bit worried, though, that he might accidently chew off a small part and swallows it, so we switched to those plastic rings that you peel off of milk cartons caps. He doesn't...
Toilet trained Julius about a month after we got him, and it took about a month for the actual training - it could easily take longer or shorter, though, depending on your cat. This is basically what I did:

I had to improvise a bit with the...
I gave Julius a shower once - after an unfortunate diarrhea incident while he was in the car. (Don't ask...) Julius gets freaked out by the sound of running water, but he put up with him. It helps that the shower has glass doors, so he has no where to hide. I'd just have the focet running...
I can totally relate - my cat, Julius, is going through the exact same thing. It looks to be something to do with the liver, but I can't really afford further testing or surgery/hospitalization if it requires that. Julius does seem to be doing better, so I'm keeping him under close watch for...
Thanks for all the helpful inputs and encouragement! While I'm still worried, Julius does seem to be doing better - he only threw up twice yesterday, and held down most of the i/d I gave him. I'll definitely keep you guys posted - you guys are great!

I asked because a friend suggested that some shelters may have connection to vets, or other resources we may not - but I have suspected what you just mentioned as well.
He's beginning to be able to eat a little bit just this afternoon, and the vomit has decreased in frequency - that's good...
Greetings all,
Just discovered this forum, as I'm desperately in need of advice: my two year old cat Julius, whom we adopted two months ago, has been constantly vomitting for the last few days. We brought him to the vet, the x-ray showed nothing, but the bloodwork showed elevated level of ALT...
