i punish my cat. i'm not aggresive with them. but emma gets into everything, and SHE KNOWS when i'm not happy with her. all i do is lay her on her back and point my finger at her, then i put my finger lightly on her nose and say "emma, NO" and give her a little tap on her rump, and she learns...

my baby was about 5-6 months old when we got her girly parts nipped...and the vet said to slowly mix in the adult food with the kitten food, b/c after they have the surgery they will start getting a little tubby. I was actually already mixing the food though like 60% kitten and the rest adult...

be careful with baby food, make sure it doesn't have onion powder in it, it severley makes the cat anemic (sp). you may already know this, but i just wanted to make sure.

i don't know about other cats...but i had a siamese (sp) and his mom was a torti...and they were stuck on eachother like glue...and then she died...got eaten by a dog...and he saw the whole thing...and he wasn't the same after that...just kind of moped around and lagged around. so i think cats...

emma is 4 months old and she went into heat...but it wasn't full blown. it only lasted about 3 days and it was very mild. it is very possible.

my cat emma started peeing on pillows and goose down feather blankets or basically anything that would be impossible to wash in a small apt washer/dryer. she is 4 months old now and started doing it. then about 2 days later she went into heat. we got her fixed up and shes been fine ever since...
