Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there's a safer option?

    Salt

This might be a stupid question... With the icy weather here I need to start salting my walkway for the postman and to get to my car without slipping. At the moment I'm worried about my cats walking around in it and then cleaning their paws. Is this dangerous for cats? I don't know if they can...

At what age are cats generally full-grown?

Thanks for the response. She's a domestic short-hair. She's about 3/4 of the size that most adult cats are so it seems like she should still be growing but I'm not sure she actually is. I wonder if it's because she was taken away from her mother at 6 weeks old (poor little baby).

At what age are cats generally full-grown?

I know this will vary between cats but, in general, at what age are cats usually full-grown? I have two...one is 14 months and looks full grown. The other is 12 months and is still quite small. I'm wondering if she's just going to be a small cat or if she's likely still growing. I'm mostly just...

    Cost of Feliway

We always buy ours on eBay. We wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise!

Feliway - Who has used it...opinions???

We always buy it on ebay too. The little bottle of spray didn't seem to help much but the diffuser is great. It doesn't seem to make any difference in one of the cats but the other always has serious peeing issues when the Feliway runs out. It's frustrating when we can't afford refills everytime...

I am going for a spray tan

I got one once. I actually bought a package of three and just never went back after the first. Like someone else mentioned, I smelled for days. I couldn't stop smelling that stuff. Especially in the shower when it washes off. It was gross. I thought maybe my skin had some weird reaction with it...

    Infection in ears?

Well, the vet had no idea what it was. He thought it was weird that it was in the exact same spot in each ear. He picked it all off and made the poor baby bleed. But, it's gone now. The skin looked all dried and peeled underneath. He put some gel stuff on it and said that the thinks it'll clear...

    Pet Insurance in the UK

Thanks for the info. That last bit is definitely something I should look into because if I had a £2,000 bill that I had to pay to get reimbursed, I wouldn't be able to afford it. Also, I didn't realize places like Tesco were just reselling other plans. Thanks.

    Pet Insurance in the UK

I moved here about a year ago from the States. I was always told there that pet insurance was pretty useless because it didn't cover a lot of major things. But, I never looked into it myself so I don't know if that's true. Anyway, here in the UK I see so many ads for pet insurance and here...

    Infection in ears?

I'm pretty sure it isn't just something she got into that's stuck to her. There's just nothing at all she could possibly get into. She's an indoor only cat and the kitchen is off limits to them...the door stays closed. I tried cleaning it as best I could with a tissue. I took that plastic cone...

    Infection in ears?

I also wanted to add that the rest of her ears look clean and healthy. There's no gunk or anything lower down in her ears around the ear canal. They don't seem to be itching her either even though it looks like it should itch. But, she's also been wearing one of those plastic cone things around...

    Infection in ears?

I've just noticed some pretty gross looking stuff in my cats ears. It's on the inside but sort of up towards the tops of her ears. So, if you're just looking at her straight in the face you can see it in her ears. It's some sort of slightly orange colored stuff that looks like dried skin in a...

    Potty Training - 8-weeks old

You might want to try laying some newspaper in the box. I don't know if it will work or not but I don't think it can hurt to try. Maybe that will get her to realize she's supposed to be using the box and then you can take it away.

Don't know what to do about the spraying...

We started using Feliway when we introduced the second cat. After watching their behavior when it ran out we decided to use Feliway foreeeeever. LOL The carpets in our flat weren't actually put in very well so I am able to pull it up and use the cleaner on the floor beneath the carpet as well...

    Potty Training - 8-weeks old

Are you using the same type of litter that they were giving her in the store? If it's something really different, maybe she doesn't understand what it is. When we switched our cats to wood based litter we had to cover the top with their old stuff before they would use it. _________ Edit: Sorry...

    Investigating my cat's death

I have no ideas about what the cause may have been but I just wanted to say I'm really sorry. How horrible.

Don't know what to do about the spraying...

Thanks, everyone. She goes into the vet on Monday to get her stitches out (hopefully). We took her on Friday but she still wasn't healed enough. So, I'll talk to the vet about this and the possibility of her having a UTI then. To answer some of your questions, yes, she was in heat and spraying...

She was just spayed 9 days ago. That's why I'm so frustrated.
