It could be the food you're feeding her. My Sphynx boy will often get us with a drive by especially when he eats the turkey flavored cat food we give him (also a wet food). Apparently, according to the breeder, they're naturally farty anyways

I've also read that about 30% of cats don't have the catnip gene. As far as it being addictive, no, it's completely safe for your cat and quite entertaining for both of you. Two of my cats love the stuff and can hear the lid come off the container a mile away, my other one will sniff it and...
Hi, my name is Jennie. I am owned by three cats. A red and white Sphynx named Fergus, red tabby Maine Coon Mix named Pumpkin, and a black shorthaired cat named Isis. I love to talk about my kitties, and I like to hear others' stories as well.

I love Sphynxes, I have one and am completely addicted. But those little guys kind of remind me of a buttered turkey before you pop it in the oven. It would be fun to have one, grease him up and name him Richard Simmons
The best litter I have found is the pine pellet litter. It has awesome odor control without perfumes! No dust, very little if tracking, it lasts a long time and it's easy to use. The pellets disolve and turn into sawdust when they get wet, you just scoop out the poop and dump litter when all...
I just put the litter box in the tub put in a small amount of bleach or if I have it Petzyme. And fill the box with really HOT water. Let it sit for a bit, dump and fill with hot water again and let it run over for a while and dump and rinse again. In between litter changes I sprinkle a tiny...
My cats generally congregate around the vents when the furnace is running, or find a nice warm lap. Fergus, my Sphynx will climb under the covers or go in to his little kitty tent. He's made it plain that he is an exibitionist and refuses to wear clothing. Besides my husband would think I've...
Just a little hint for you. Baby wipes are even cheaper and are basicly the same thing, only you can pick them up for $1 for like 50 wipes. I use them on my Sphynx between baths.
I don't think cats have the same perception of time as we do. They know schedules, but I don't think time as in hours and days are detected the same by cats. In the summer I am gone almost every weekend, I have someone come and check on the cats one or two days to make sure they have food and...
I use just a regular baby shampoo on my Sphynx, that's what the breeders used and reccomended. I usually don't bathe my hairy cats, but in the past when my longhair gets stinky I've used ferret shampoo. It's mild and conditioning.
My mom and dad have a cat that put his toys in the water dish. But it doesn't stop there...they've found pantyhose, socks, underware, small stuffed animals, and a pen once. What's nice is that he'll fish out his water logged toys and drop them on your lap.
That's funny! Fergus will do the leg hug thing too. He'll "hide" I always see him peeking aroud the corner of something waiting for me and as soon as I walk by he'll grab my leg. I'll sometimes get down on his level and hide from him and peek around a corner at him, he'll come running and...
I think I read somewhere that some 30% of cats don't have the catnip gene and won't respond to it. All cats will respond differently to it. Isis is a catnip hog and tries to hoard all the catnip for herself, she tends to get a little aggressive. Pumpkin and Fergus just get silly and roll in...
Every year when we set up our Christmas tree it's a new adventure all over again! One year we involved my 3 year old daughter at the time and strung popcorn to put on the tree. While we were gone one day the cats and dog had a popcorn feast Another year one of my cats (who was a kitten then)...
I have a cat that made rivers in the litterbox when she peed. I switched from the clumping litter to the pine pellet litter about a year ago and I love it. It's fast absorbing and there's no bad litter box smell anymore. The pellets soak up wettness and disolve, you just scoop out the poo and...
