Hi,
Whatever the reason, shivering is not normal, he may be reacting badly to the milk. I would give him formulas made for cats or those posted on this forum.
Good luck,
Hi,
Has anyone had ever given acepromazine maleate (Acevet) to their cat? I was told a minimun dosage is required, more than 5mg for the cat to be sedated enough, so he won't panick. Another expert told me the contrary, that is is best to try 5mg first, to make sure it will not harm him. My cat...
Hello,
I am sorry about what you are going through. Three years ago, I lost a kitten in a similar accident, and felt very guilty about it. Like someone has said in a previous post, had you known this would happen, you would have prevented it, of course. But how could you imagine something like...
25 years ago today, my first cat had to be put to sleep, at age 12. My parents got if for me when I was seven. Time goes so fast. He was such a darling. I still remember the first time I saw him, when he popped out of the cardboard box my mom carried him in :-)
It took me time to get over this...
Hi,
There is nothing you can do. Just make this little kitten confortable until it dies and rub him or her. At least, I would have been loved more than some humans, even in his brief existence.

You say they were left in a box behind an apartment building... I would put the person who did this alone himself-herself in cardboard box, naked and alone, North of Canada, in the Arctic, without food or any means of communications...
Those kittens are so lucky you are taking care of them...
She is much too young to have babies!!! It is like if a 10-12 year old girl had one! To have babies would be very hard on her-the cat I adopted a year ago had hers at around 10 months-this was tough on her. Yes, a difficult decision to make. But the little ones may not survive, and if they do...
Fortunately, you were on her path.
Wish that sick monster who left her there was never born himself. If only his own mother had done this herself to him when he came to this world, without anyone finding him, the world would be a better place.
God bless you Tasha
Mine does! Of course, birds, dogs.. and other cats. It is very funny. She will smack the screen to get them. Even if there is no sound, animal planet is HER channel. Funny to see yours also recognizes this is about animals!
Apart from animal planet, she reacts also when she sees a baby on tv...
Hi!
An other solution is to get a food dispenser that opens at the time you chose. THis is what I have and it works wonders : I set it for 6: 00 and my cat has her meal... and lets me sleep!

He's gorgeous, but you are also a very good photograph! I can understand your passion for photography, I just got equipped with a great reflex and can't stop practicing to get better shots!

Hi!
Yes, your kittens would normally be fine, with all the advice given above. However, the heater functioning while you are not there is NOT advisable and a fire hazard, including if you have a power outage and power is back, the 'rebounce' could cause a surge, sparkles and fire.

Hi Jen,
You rememember I told you I would get in contact with my friend, after trying to reach her during the weekend, and who lives in your area re the kitties? She told me unfortunately that she cannot take more cat. She has already 5 and 2 dogs. At least, I tried.
Good luck. I hope so much...
It is a good idea you are charging 25 $ as an adoption fee. Keeps away non serious people...and those feeding their snakes with kittens. I sound awful here, but this is a reality.
Hi again,
I tried to get in touch with my friend in OH, but maybe she was away for the Thanksgiving weekend (did not think about this possibility in advance, as we do not have that holiday in Canada). I will try again tomorrow night!

I would not recommend it. Don't forget cats walk on the floor, which is not clean by nature. Would you put your face on your kitchen or entrance hall floor? I certainly do not allow my cat on my pillow!

If you do so, rinse the area after. There might be elements dangerous to cats even if they are not for infants. Animals do not metabolize external agents like we do.
