Foster Kitten not using litter box

You may try a product called Cat Attract. You sprinkle some in the litter pan and that has helped me a lot with fosters. Also, when she poo's on the towel, put it in the pan and cover it. She will recognize her own scent there.

Fostering: 3 and 1/2 week olds, questions

Otto, See? I never thought of scooping up some of the pee with litter and putting it back in the box! That is clever! Thank you. The box I have is a tray from the 3oz cans we buy for our big cats. They can walk in and out of it with no problem. Denise

Fostering: 3 and 1/2 week olds, questions

Hello, I am fostering 3 and 1/2 week old kittens and have some questions: Background: when I found them, their eyes were covered in "mud". I soaked it off and puss came out and their eyes looked bad. At the shelter they got subQ fluids, dewormer and penicillin. At home they gat eye drops, and...

    Summer-izing for ferals

I should have mentioned that my little colony is located in the two story parking garage where I work and not at my home. Although it is a cement structure, there are stairwells that are shaded all of the time. I have one food and water station in the stairwell and one on the roof. Thanks!

    My troublemaker

I should be used to it by now because he does it every time I am working on a qulit, but it still makes me laugh. He's more of a modern art man! No traditional layout for him!!

    My troublemaker

I was in my sewing room after putting quilt blocks down on the floor in the living room when I heard my husband say "Mommy is going to be mad at you" This is what I found: And this is the look I got when I scolded him! When will I remember that no quilts can be made without Pooh's permission!?

    Summer-izing for ferals

Hello, I have seen a lot of tips for making shelters for ferals in the snowy winters, but I live in Phx, AZ and I am wondering if there is anything I can do to make 110-120 degree summers more bearable for my colony. There is shade - is there anything else I can do? Denise

    Can't pick her up?!

Don't take it personally that she doesn't like to be picked up. Cats are like people and have different personalities. Some people like to be touched and hugged and others don't. My cat was only 6 weeks old when we found him. He will climb in bed and sleep on my husband's chest, but does NOT...

    Am I being unreasonable?

I think you have a better change of getting germs that will make you sick from the handle of your shopping cart or the keyboard on which you wrote this message!!

    Cat toy

I found the pattern on one of those pattern-a-day calendars. I just learned to crochet so I mostly look at the pictures. I was very excited to find one that was exactly what I needed and was easy enough for me to do. I will PM it to both of you who asked for it. I am at work now, so I'll...

    Cat toy

I volunteer for a no kill shelter and wow, the price of cat toys is crazy. I happened upon this pattern for a crochet "mouse". Pooh loved it, so now I am trying to make at least one each night before I go to bed (I don't crochet very quickly) What do you think? Would your cat be fooled?

London in March, Need hotel ideas

Susan and I must drive the maids mad. I was in Germany in 2003. Stayed in 7 different hotels and none of them had sheets that had me running to the door, so that was good. I have been looking on line for several hours now. My eyes have gone buggy. I've been looking for so long now that even...

London in March, Need hotel ideas

I have never been to trip advisor before. I don't need a big room or even a quiet room, but insist on a clean room. The reviews here help. I realize they are written by the extremes (loved it / hated it) but it gives me a feel, which is the best I can do when I am booking from this far away...

London in March, Need hotel ideas

We saw that the St Margaret's was highly rated in the guidebooks. My friend called, but had a hard time understanding the lady on the phone (I always think "please slow down, I speak American, not English"). We heard that they were closed, we heard that they moved - the woman was supposed to...

London in March, Need hotel ideas

Hello, I know there are a lot of people from the UK on this website, so I need some help. A girlfriend and I are taking a trip to London the end of March and are looking for a B&B. Does anyone have any ideas? We have been looking at: St Margaret's Hotel (is it still there?) The Main House...

    Bite or scratch from feral

I had a feral kitten too close to my face today (transfering between cages - I am a novice and was trying to be nice and not leave kittens in traps for 36 hours) I am not sure if I have a bite or a scratch. I have three punctures across from one scratch which makes me think it was a paw. Any...
