    Cat sitting and feeding time

My sister's cat is coming to visit me and my cat for two months. The two kitties get along really well, they're 2 (Sonny) and 3 (Lea) years old. Lea has a medical problem and she has to eat wet food, or dry food with water added. Sonny eats dry food only and he scarfs it down. Needless to say...

    yucky eye!

My 1.5 year old cat has some brown stuff coming out of his right eye (doesn't come out of his left for some reason). He's had this for a long time, ever since I've had him, but the amount has increased in the past month. It crusts up every once in a while. Should I try to wipe it off? Should I...

    shaky tail

My cat's tail shakes when he pees. Is that normal? When he first came home with me his tail was straight as an arrow (when he was going), he was sick at the time but he's been healthy for over 7 months now. I noticed it was shaking a few weeks ago and didn't know if that was strange or not. He...

    Blood came out!

Thank you guys so much for the advice. When you are a new mommy to a kitty thats had more medical prolems than I have had I just don't ever know what to do. I took Sonny to the vet and they said he has a water parasite, and that with some medication he should be fine. Oh thank goodness...

    Blood came out!

Please help, I don't know what to do. My cat went poop this morning and when he was done there was a large mucusy, bloody, something on the end of his bottom. I noticed his bottom was red not too long ago, but this really freaks me out now. I havn't seen this before and I'm worried! What do I...

    at my wits end

I wanted to thank you all so much for helping me get this figured out. I finally had an emotional breakdown the other day because he just wouldn't stop! I called the Oregon Humane Society and they gave me the information below. They made a few suggestions and so far they've worked. I got a...

my cat is peeing and pooping everywhere

I got this from the Oregon Humane Society... My cat wouldn't stop peeing on my bed. I got a plastic tablecloth with a fabric back and put it on my bed. Then I got some citrus smelling spray stuff and put it all over the tablecloth. It's worked so far. Good luck! _-_Trina_-_ Territorial Marking...

    Are cats like cows???

Although I didnâ€8482t grow up on a farm, both of my parents did. They told me when I was younger that if you kept feeding a cow it would eat and eat until it killed itâ€8482s self, and that you could only give a cow __(blank)__ amount of food (donâ€8482t know the amount) a day. So my question...

    at my wits end

Those are all really good ideas! I've tried putting a yard tarp over my bed when I wasn't home but found that he went on that too. He also LOVED to play with it and crawl under it. So the plastic thing hasn't worked yet. I got a Feliway diffuser a while ago and have been using it. That sorta...

    at my wits end

I sorta feel like this isn't an accident any more. This has been going on for 3 months now and it almost seems intentional. I've got a open door policy for when ever anyone coms over... you either take the cat into the bathroom with you while you go, or you leave the door open. For a while I...

    at my wits end

I took him to the vet and they tested him. Althought the Vet spoke in holier-than-thaou Dr. language I got out of him that his peeing problem was not because he was sick, it was because I wasn't addressing the problem correctly. I tried the tarp thing as well. He urinated on that once.

    at my wits end

Yes its the same comforter... and I've used lots of stuff that says it will get rid of the smell. It every well could be that he can smell it, but its almost like he doesn't have to pee until he knows its on the bed. Plus, when the cover was over the comforter for a week or more he didn't have...

    at my wits end

I got my kitten in Aug of 05 and he was about 3 months old. He had a cold and worms, but has since gotten over those. He was checked out by the Vet numerous times and said to be healthy. When he first got to my semi-small studio he didn't have a problem peeing in the box, he was really good...
