This happened to me when one of my cats started going into heat! She used FOUR of my return vents! It was AWFUL. I scrubbed them with a bleach spray. I still smell it when the heat comes on in winter for a few weeks, hubby says it is my imagination... I feel for ya... PS-The cat went immediately...

My cat I had growing up did this, and one of my grandmother's cats does it too... None of my current cats do it, but I think it is cute. Doesn't bother me in the bathroom, but I wouldn't want it on the kitchen sink.

I am glad to hear that someone else is as frustrated as me. My Spencer is spending part time in a big dog crate like the one shown. In the mornings I take him out and put him in the "cat room" until he pees... He stays out until I go to work...then I put him back in the crate while we are gone...

I took Spencer BACK to the vet today. She ran a blood test and ALL was completely normal. She couldn't get a urine sample, but told me to try and get one and bring it in tomorrow.
