    Calcium Oxilate Crystals...

I have a question regarding my sister-in-laws kitty. He just had surgery to remove several Calcium Oxilate Crystals. The vet has recommended the kibble... "Royal Canin Vet Diet, Urinary SO 30". I was thinking Nature's Variety Raw patties (since this seems to be a problem due to chronic...

    Raw to Kibble

sharky... that's what kitty is getting now... the NV medalions. My hubby and I go visit my mom once a month... and with Xmas...we'd like to go up on Xmas eve and then come home early on Boxing day. But that would mean that I can't feed kitty all of Xmas day... which I *think* is too long to go...

    Raw to Kibble

Does anyone have any idea how I should go about switching my cat from RAW to Kibble/Moist food? I fully believe that raw is the way to go... and my cat has been doing fantastic on it (so I'm not knocking raw)... but I just don't have any good friends or family close by that can give her the...

    Diarrhea... what to do now?

yeah... she was on the Evo before her switch to raw. But I think once you go raw your body knows what "real" food is... and just can't handle the other stuff as well anymore. She was on EVO for about a year before RAW. And before that she was on Innova pellets.

    Diarrhea... what to do now?

thanks guys! I knew of the pumpkin for dogs... didn't know if it was good for cats to or not. Now I know... thanks a bunch! I fed her the raw again when I got back (as I said) and before I knew she had a problem. I didn't feed her the next meal (that evening) and then by morning she was...

    Diarrhea... what to do now?

I did bring this upon myself. I switched my cat to Nature's Variety Raw Food about 4ish months ago. No problems. I had to go away for a few days... so during last week I did a trial round of her Evo food a few days before we left. She did just fine. So I decided to leave her the dry Evo...

    How much should she weigh...?

I have a tabby cat... 11 years old. She's a bit overweight I'd say... but not bad. She's about 11.5-12 lbs... how much should a tabby cat weigh for good health?? Here are a few pics of her from different angles... These pics were taken a few years ago... while she was on Innova Evo kibble...

    Fasting...

I just wanted to update and let everyone who is concerned know that I now have a friend coming in for the day I will be away. My main concern was if there would be reason for concern that I was not aware of... and I didn't know about the condition mentioned above... so I learned something new...

    Fasting...

Just want to let everyone know that my cat has been used to having me away for a night or two her whole life... it will not be an issue for her. I have some Evo left and I can leave that out for her... just wasn't sure if her body would even recognize it as food anymore... or if it would just...

    Fasting...

Jasmine is perfectly healthy. I just had her teeth cleaned by our vet this year, who due to her age (11 years) had a full senior blood panel run, and he said all her levels were just terrific. He was actually impressed that her teeth were as clean as they were at her age... I'll say they...

    Fasting...

Does anyone fast their cat once in awhile? I have switched my kitty (Jasmine) over to raw in the last couple of months. I feed her Nature's Variety Raw frozen pucks. She's doing just great on it. But I'm going to be away this weekend, and I was wondering if it would cause any problems to...

    Weight and how to lose

My Jasmine is 9 years old and about 14 lbs. She's definitely overweight I'd say. I've been trying to help her lose weight by cutting down on her pellets, but she is down to perhaps 1/2 cup a day of pellets now... seems reasonable to me. She's been spayed and so she has a very floppy belly...

Hi to everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and my kitty... Jasmine. I've adopted my girl back when she was just a kitten looking for a home at a local vetrinary office. She is now 9 years old and as sassy as ever LOL. She's quirky, and affectionate and that's why I love her. Here are...
