Call Me Crazy, But I Like...

Ironing! Also doing & folding laundry, tidying up, cleaning/organizing cupboards, refrigerator & pantry, washing dishes... What don't I like: cleaning the bathroom, cat boxes, and cooking.

Me, Sylvester, a few others and a mid size sleeper sofa bed lol!!!

I feel your pain! Toothless likes to sleep between us, Cinder at my feet, and Gram either on the other side of me or on my pillow. I'm claustrophobic so the pillow would be preferable, except he randomly decides to aggressively groom my head in the middle of the night.

Question of the day - Thursday 12 December

I'm a 60s baby so my favorites are Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer & The Year Without a Santa Clause. Scrooged & the Santa Claus are close seconds.

Christmas and Cookies (and other snacks)

What great stories!! My mom made cut out cookies and caramel corn, and my grandma always made German Peppernuts (Pfeffernusse). Those were always the highlight of the season for us. Over the 30 years we've been married our traditional cookies are cut-outs, rum bars, tea cookies (aka snowballs)...

Question of the Day, Wednesday, December 11, 2019

I'm a voracious reader and will read romance, sci fi, historical romance, self-help, supernatural, etc. Overall I prefer "happy" stories because I really get into the stories and don't need my "escape" to upset me or stress me out. ;) I like free or .99 Kindle books for cheap and thoughtless...

    Delicious Christmas lunch, but easy?

We do Christmas brunch with my parents: a crock pot breakfast casserole with hash browns, sausage, cheese and eggs, fresh fruit, juice, wine, coffee, and Christmas cookies. My parents always bring fruit cake and German stollen. The casserole takes 4 hours to cook in the crock pot but our kids...

    Finicky Eater - Help!

Freeze dried treats crumbled over food worked for our picky eaters. Other things I've heard work for some cats (but not ours) include Forti flora, Parmesan cheese, crumbled dry food, & tuna juice.

    Thankfully I'm strong

We get our litter from Chewy too and I always feel guilty when we get a delivery. Not guilty enough to buy it and lug it home myself though. ;)

Question of the day - Thursday 5 December

I wrap as I go. I have an app that helps me keep track of gifts: what I buy, where I buy it, how much it was, who it's for, where in the house it's stashed, and status: ordered/delivered/wrapped/given. The app is Santa's Bag, if anyone's interested. :)

Question of the Day, Wednesday, December 4, 2019

Probably "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" but I have songs pop into my head all the time so who knows?

Question of the Day - Tuesday, December 3

Anything but English, LOL! I'm good at many things, but not with languages!

Question of the Day - Monday, December 2, 2019

I was in plays in elementary and high school, but not since. My hubby and 2 of our sons have been in community theater productions for the past several years. I've helped sew costumes, usher, etc, but don't have the urge to be on stage again.

    What's For Dinner? - 2019

Dorito Queso Burgers - hamburgers with cheese sauce and Doritos. I thought it sounded gross but they're SO GOOD! I've been watching what I eat all day so I can have one relatively guilt-free. ;)

Question Of The Day, Friday, October 4

I usually go through the regular check-out but hubby prefers self-checkout.

    I'm A Simple Person...

I just plain like food. Plain or loaded, it's all good to me. (Which is why I've got 10 lbs to lose...) The only pet peeve I have is when I'm looking forward to a certain food and hubby decides to try a different recipe or tweak our usual recipe. But since I'm in no hurry to take over cooking...

    Can You Sew?

My mom taught me to sew when I was in 7th or 8th grade. I took Home Ec in high school and it was a breeze because my mom had taught me to cook too. I made our older daughter's prom dress and wedding dress & veil, and will be making our younger daughter's wedding veil also. I would've made her...

Question Of The Day- Friday 8/16/19

I used to collect zebras because they were my sorority's mascot but I stopped several years ago (although people still give me zebra things). Now I collect dragonflies. I kind of fell into it by accident - one day I realized that a lot of the things I bought because they caught my eye all had...
