    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

I'm sorry I've been so long away, but life certainly does have its ups and downs! Thank you all so much for your replies and opinions! Now that she has already lost her first winter coat (omg, tiny fluff balls all over!), here is a profile head shot. Thank you!

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

I love your countertops! I think I might take the advice given and get a DNA test done. She looks more solidly built than Tibbs, too. He's gorgeous, btw!

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

Thank you so much for the nice compliments! I'd tell her, but she has enough of an attitude already. :p Nothing about her is floppy, though. She's large boned with pretty big paws, very solid built. Rag dolls are so sweet though!

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

Looks more siberian to me, but I'm no expert.

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

BTW, I'll post a profile as soon as I can get one. She's always either sleeping or on the move, lol.

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

Caoimhe doesn't shed much, alot less than my other cats did; but I have to say those downy tufts that kind of float around occasionally are particularly irritating when you inhale them! The first thing I noticed that was different about her (besides her back legs being longer than her front) was...

    Show Me Your Belly !!!

A few months ago I questioned what kind of cat she was on this website, since I didn't have a clue! All four responses said Siberian, so I happily accepted that. She's a look-alike, though, since she was a rescue at two weeks.

This is Caoimhe, looking very comfortable! She turned one year on Nov. 29

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

Omg, yes ! I googled siberians and they look just like her! I think you both are right. She has two other qualities I should have mentioned, that might change things. First, and oddly enough, water rolls right off her. And secondly, she doesn't shed, despite the fact she's a total fur ball...

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

Thank you both so much for your responses. It's been fun watching her grow up!

    What Breed Is Caoimhe?

I came on this forum asking that same question when Caoimhe was only 3 mos old, and got many varied answers. Now she's 9 mos old and weighs about 10 lbs. I'm posting some more recent pics, hoping they'll help identify. She had striped legs, a spotted chest, brindle back. She's very soft, back...

    Meet my new kitten!

Yes, I will be careful. In my neighborhood I often hear an owl and coyotes (pretty much every night), and I've occasionally seen an eagle circling, so I know they're all nearby. I've only lost one cat to an animal, and that was a rottweiler the owners let run loose after dark. I chased him and...

    Meet my new kitten!

It was a large owl. Her dog was small, but the size of most cats... a terrier, I think. It may not have survived the struggle even if she had a firmer grip, their talons are so sharp and strong. But she'll never know. Yes, devastating describes it. I am still going to get Caoimhe used to a...

    Meet my new kitten!

She had a lose hold on the leash, her small dog was behaving. She never heard the owl swoop down from behind, she never saw it coming. It was so sad. There was nothing she could do. It made me rethink how I hold a leash!

    Calico, Tabby, Brindle??

So glad to hear that! I'm so happy that she found such a good home :)

Welcome, Jim. Love your illustrations! I'm looking forward to seeing more of them :)

    Meet my new kitten!

I'm sorry to hear about your kitties. In the past, I lived in the city, and my cats were indoor/outdoor. I moved to a townhouse in a burb when my kids left, and at that point my cats became indoor. Between the coyotes and the raptors (I've had friends who lost pets to both owls and eagles; one...

    Calico, Tabby, Brindle??

I'm new to this site, and no expert on cats, but you're both so lucky to have found eachother! Since she was a stray, be sure to have a vet check her over. She IS beautiful!!!
