It's been forever! I feel like I come on here update and run lol
Sense last posting we've had our doe kid! She had triplets. Her birth was eventful, I was elbow deep pulling each one out. The last little guy had some leg issues so we had to splint his legs and he was in the house as a bottle...
So they are here and settling in. We've already named them so I'll introduce them with there names in this post as well.
We are guessing they are around 6wks.
Most of the kittens made it out of the shelter. Unfortunately the shelter did not wait for rescues to get there and pull everyone. We...
They 4 I will possibly be taking are not directly from the shelter they were pulled 3 days ago.
I'm not sure who I'm taking or when. It's so overwhelming I literally had a break down.
Ugh so one of the four Siamese kittens I was planing on taking has started to throw up and has diarrhea.
So I am now taking 4 other tabby fluffy things. It's just really never ends.
We've got very few animal people in our area we've exhausted all sources.
If I had more rooms in my house I'd take them all. But it's down to keeping the ones we currently have germ free! That means only taking on kittens that have had QT time.
Karen told me if I take the 4 in her bathroom...
I can only take one set, I am unfortunately leaning towards the 7wk old kittens as I know their health is guaranteed. This decision is going to be tough. I will wait and see what is left at the shelter tomorrow to make my final call.
I need your help!
Karen our rescue director is at the shelter now and there are 3 sets of three 4wk old kittens, they are underage and were going to be PTS tonight. Thankfully the shelter is giving our rescue until tomorrow night to pull them.
Karen has four 7wk old seal point kittens, if I...
Hi everyone! I'm finally getting the chance to come on here and update. Everyone is doing amazing! They are all eating like champs, running, and playing. These little guys just enjoy like so much, it the best thing to watch.
We have noticed Oscar is still a little off in his hind end. He gets...
Wow if people were to come meet Oscar today they would never guess who was close to death just days before! He is doing so much better. There is talk about Corey and or Oscar possibly staying with us so we shall see.
We let Matilda meet Jayson and Corey yesterday because she'd sit at her door...
We offered him mush this morning and he threw it up. He only takes about 8cc of formula a feeding but is totally eyeing the other kittens mush when it give it to them. So I know he wants more of something. Do you guys have any tips for something that might be lighter on his tummy? I guess I...
So we ended up with Corey's two brothers. I was told the little black one was showing signs of the same thing. At that point I knew Corey wasn't sick, he has a little URI but nothing that would've caused him to be dehydrated like he was.
We went and picked them up and I was immediately...
I was contacted from the main rescue coordinator saying they thought he might pass away, he was really dehydrated, didn't want to eat and was acting really off out of no where.
I have been so super busy and told my self I wasn't gonna take on another foster for at least another 2wks until...
Oh boy life has been crazy!
We rescued a Donkey this weekend, the news even came out to cover the story it has been a big crazy deal! Here is a link to his Facebook Page. Patrick The Blessed Donkey
Poor Patrick has gone through so much!
All of Matilda's kittens left to their new homes and...
I made my mush very runny and soup like with KMR in the beginning then added baby food, then started to thicken that up with baby rice ceral until they were eating just the wet food. The mush was easier for my picky eaters or slow starters. Everyone once in awhile I add water and they go nuts...
So sorry I haven't posted in forever!
Everyone has found their forever homes! They are getting spayed neutered this weekend and will go home the 16th of May.
I will post a more detailed update here in a little bit.
How cute! Glad momma will be spayed once the kittens are old enough.
I'm sure the others will come on and chime in about birth weights but I believe anything over 100g are good weights. I could be wrong so I'd definitely wait for the others to let you know.
Just make sure you keep a very close...
Oh I wish I could keep her but I don't think It'd be fair to her she deserves all the attention she can get. Here she would have to compete with a whole zoo, lots of goats, horses, dogs, and other cats.
I'd really like to see her go with Lavender because Lavender is really attached to...
