    Stomatitis

Hi all. So Lilly had the rest of her teeth extracted by a specialist (2 canines, left lower canine root (her vet couldn't get it out and was worried she would fracture her jaw), right incisors, and a root that had been left behind since July ..grrrr!) on March 4th. She's still hiding and...

She does eat the pate'. I do have chicken baby food (no additives) and other soft food for her to eat. She also has liquid Gabapentin that I give her as needed.

Thank you all for the responses! :) I didn't get any notifications in my email for some reason. I'm going to take her to get a second opinion. Her appointment isn't until the 27th. She's eating Fancy Feast Chicken Pate. Is that ok for her to eat? She was eating hard food before. It's so...

    Stomatitis

Hi all! My Lilly has stomatitis. She has had 2 PME’s. She has another flare up and is scheduled to have 2 canines removed in February. She got a steroid shot today. I’m overwhelmed and stressed. Are there other medications/diets I should try to decrease the flare ups? I was told about Zyrtec...

    Weaning and litter training

I know its a process, but I'm having a hard time getting the kittens to use the litter box. Maybe I should change to the clay litter?? I put a piece of fecal matter into the box yet it doesn't attract them. I've also put them in the box after eating, playing, etc, yet they continue to go on the...

    Weaning and litter training

So I have had so many different people tell me how to wean the kittens...from "the mom cat will wean them herself", "start weaning them at 4 weeks old by giving them KMR, and when they have mastered lapping the milk from the bowl then move on to solid food". I'm confused. How can I start the...

    Weaning and litter training

I've read several articles on the internet saying to start weaning them at 4 weeks old. They turned 5 weeks today. I'm using the pine litter pellets.

    Weaning and litter training

I am weaning them from momma cat. Some of them will eat solid wet food, but of course they still want mommy. I can't get them to use the litter box either. I put them in it after they play, sleep, and eat, but they still go outside of the box.

    Weaning and litter training

Hi. My babies are 4 weeks old and I'm trying to wean them and litter train them. They will lap from the bowl, but of course they still want milk from mommy. Also, I'm having a hard time litter training them. Can anyone give me any advice on weaning and litter training?

    Weaning and litter training

Hi everyone! I have four - 1 mth old kittens. I'm in the process of weaning and I have a few questions. First, is it okay to warm up  the KMR? I have the liquid version of it. Also, when do I start giving them water? Thanks!

Several weeks ago my cat was diagnosed with CRF. A urinalysis was done and it showed a lot of blood and bacteria. A culture could not be done because there wasn't enough urine to test. She was started on Clavamox and took it several days at the vet. When I got her home she stopped eating and I...

Why my sister wants me to wear my hearing aids

I was born with hearing loss. For a shortwhile in elementary school, I wore the big hearing aids that you could see from the moon. I stopped wearing them because I was embarrassed. I was shy when I was younger and even though no one picked on me, I felt awkward wearing them. I had my hearing...

All a matter of perspective....what are you grateful for?

Duchess15, I can relate to what you have gone through. My fiance' passed away from cancer last June at the age of 30. Three weeks later my grandpa passed away. Three months later I had to put my cat to sleep. February of this year my grandmother passed away. So much to take in in such a short...

My Baby could use some prayers

Last Wednesday Baby was throwing up and not acting like herself so I took her to the vet. The vet listened to her and said that she has 'loud lung sounds' indicating fluid on her lungs. Her heart rate was also 200. Baby had labs drawn, xrays, urinalysis, and thyroid test. Her labs came back...
