    Tapeworm

Spoke with vet today. She says if we see any tapeworm segments after 1 week we will retreat.

    Tapeworm

She was given Drontal feline tabs. Will call vet in a minute and see what they say. Thank you for replying.

    Tapeworm

Rescue kitty was treated, by vet, for tapeworms on Tuesday afternoon. I am still finding tapeworm segments on her bedding. Is this normal this many days after the medication? It's really hard to see if any is in her stool due to clumping kitty litter.

Maybe I'm just reading way too much into every single thing as we try to settle into our new family of 4 fur babies. I'll surely be happy when we can all get along or at least tolerate one another. Everyone is tolerant except Miss Molly but I guess with all her changes, it should be expected. It...

Hahaha, so basically they fool you into not being able to say no and taking them home and then they show their true colors. Must be way smarter than you'd imagine. My sweet Molly does come running to greet me when I come home and she lets me rub her lots but she does seem to be putting a limit...

Thank you for your response. She has already stolen my heart and I can't imagine giving up on her being a part of our family. I do have another question. When she was a cold and hungry stray hanging out in my mom's yard, she would let me hold her for longer periods of time and since we've...

I can't even imagine re-homing. I love them both sooo much! Isn't it really early in this whole process of adding a new addition? I admit I am really new to this and wonder if it's not them and maybe I am not doing something right. I did the steps to introduction but maybe I rushed through them...

Thank you so much for your reply. My husband and I work during the day and my son is in HS so we are gone all day. We leave new kitty in the downstairs and keep our other kitty upstairs. I do my best to watch them at all times they are together but that one time you turn your back, they are like...

I had posted before about us taking in a stray female who is anywhere from 2-5 years old, according to the vet. We did all the things suggested in an introduction and things seemed to be going well. Today, I left the kitties alone for the first time while I fixed dinner. All of a sudden, there...

    Rescued Stray

He's allowed only this close and the growling and hissing begins. She has never tried to lunge towards him. Is this a good sign??? However she has no problem eating with only a gate between them and very little space between.

    Introducing a new cat

I'm so happy to see your kitties getting along so well.  We too have recently introduced a new cat, who was a stray to our home with a 3 year old resident cat. I had feared our resident cat would be the one we needed to worry about because he is a tad bit spoiled. :)  However, he wants to play...

    Rescued Stray

Hi, I'm Sheri and the mommy to two doggies, toy poodles, and now two kitties. Our oldest cat is a 3 yr old male, who we rescued when he was about 6-8 weeks old. He had been found in a dumpster as a tiny kitten. A few weeks ago, my mother called me to tell me a stray cat was in her yard and how...

    Calico or Tortir

Thank you for your replies. Guess I have a calico baby. 128512 Now, how about this one? Is he considered tuxedo just because he's black and white?
