I have been feeding her more....and she is eating it :) thanks -I will see if we can come up with a way to contain the males -one is ours from "birth" if you know what I mean, the other is her son (we believe) that came in this summer as well -another stray -and she is not enamored with him...

she has all the dry she wants, and I am feeding her wet a spoon full (heaping) every 1.5 - 2 hours a day, she does not seem to eat more than that at one time. BUT goes frantic if I am late with the food!  Poor luv :(  She is also really wanting out of the room she is in -but there are two male...

So the kittens will be a week old tomorrow, and Momma is So hungry -almost to the point of when we brought her in the house on Sept 20! She simply can not get enough in! Not sure if it is milk production, or she is trying to fatten up (she was a starved stray). Thoughts, ideas? Thanks!

Well.....I have it how a lot of sites say to have it, 1/2 heat pad on low, and 1/2 no heat pad so that she can choose where to lie -not sure what else would be better ;) it is winter, in Canada -and this way it keeps the room a bit warmer, and give a side of the box a warmer option, they are...

I have tried to find information -and am not having any luck-on kitten stages of development. All I find is after the age of adoption. Any ideas -or where I can get a book or something, I looked at the bookstore today and again it was all 8 week old kitten books.  Thanks

I am pretty sure they all have it figured out now , Mommy Cat is calming down on her cleaning, and that is helping out the situation :) 

I should add to this -momma will not stop cleaning.....which disturbs them of course.

baby 1 has finally latched on -but I am almost certain it is not to a nipple -do I try and unlatch and get it onto a nipple -OR do I just leave it....it has been trying almost since birth at 11 to find a nipple -and has a heck of a time -and a 4 hour birth -its sibling who had a 3 min birth is...

drops, it is not what I would personally call "a lot".  When I fist walked in I was surprised but now, am not in any way shocked, or worried. She does not have blood pouring out or anything, just will leave a spot when she gets up (a very small spot)  :)
