I just want to say that no human is the boss of a cat, that is so funny to me. Any cat is their own boss.
The injuries sound really bad. I can see how trimming claws be a challenge for this particular kitty but you can read online about how trim them while keeping yourself safe such as wrapping...
While walking with my cat on a leash she started sniffing something intensely, and to my horror I saw that it looked like cat poop. There do seem to be stray cats in the neighborhood. When she sniffs things, she seems to touch her nose to it. and you know how cats lick their noses. Is it...
When I first got the idea to get a cat, I wanted a maine coon too. If you understand the importance of adopting, then contact maine coon rescue organizations first! They do have purebreds. I'm sure that you can get a maine coon without having to buy it from a breeder. My cats are adopted from a...
In your post you referenced cooking the meat. Do you mean cooked bones? Cats CAN NOT eat cooked bones. The bones become brittle and will injure the cat.
Also, the bones must be small enough. Some chicken bones may even be too big... my cats always leave certain parts of chicken bones behind in...
It might not be the bone. Could it be the amount of water you are adding? I used to add water to my cats' ground meat, thinking it would be healthy, and they would cough after every meal. I went to the vet and googled about it and everything, couldn't figure out why. Then I stopped adding water...
I happened to have run across their answer to this question while shopping on Amazon a few days ago.
So it's OK as long as the cat is drinking too. I'm sure you know how cats need to get water from their food but in your situation you need to get the cat eating something, so whatever works...
Great people making more plastic CRAP to pollute our planet that has no discernible purpose other than to be paid for, by people who are being tricked :/
Hi, a while back my mom got me a cat tree that was made by a craftsman selling them in a parking lot... today I found a staple on the floor beneath it. I felt around in the corners of the carpet house and there was another staple like it that was so loose I accidentally pulled it out...
They...
Oh man thanks for the info, I had no idea. I am new to raw feeding. I guess I need to do more research and read on here.
I just made a batch of TC Feline premix with powdered chicken liver, with raw chicken breast. I guess I'm going to mix and alternate the two foods.
Sound good?
*Already...
My cats have been eating raw (Darwin's) for about a week. I have noticed when one of my cats poops one of her poops is white ish or tan.
I was SO freaked out before I googled it!
This site http://www.catnutrition.org/faq.html shows a photo that looks just like her poop so I'm pretty sure it's...
As I said, I had no cats or pets back then when I used essential oils. So instead of scrubbing every inch of my home with carpet cleaner I think one of those rug doctor things would be ok right?
Not really... I have mopped one floor and wipe the table with just water but idk how I would remove the oils from the carpet. I am thinking about how many rugs I would have to buy to cover up all the carpet in the house.... a lot of rugs.....
Cats do not have the right enzyme to break down...
Sounds about right as far as the get a new vet thing except don't expect the new one to be any better... :p still worth trying new vets though.
Dark blood is more of an immediate concern, meaning the bleeding is higher in the digestive tract though red blood is a real concern too.
My kitties...
Hi, I used to use grapefruit and orange essential oil around the house... adding it to mop water, burning it, diffusing it in one of those diffusers that mists it out in water, and spraying it with a spray bottle into the air, on blankets, furniture, on tables to wipe them down with... anything...
That's a relative statement... My cats certainly will have something "wrong" if they eat it. My cats will have bloody poop if they eat it, or anything with more than .5% fiber, because they have never been used to high fiber food. Fiber is not required in a cat's diet at all, I can't imagine it...
