What a weekend I am having, I need advice! Saturday (my cats only get sick on the weekend) my youngest cat, Mini, 1.5 yrs. old, was vomiting all day. He couldn't even keep water down, so I took him to the medvet, which is our Emergency Vet here. Now poor Mini hasn't been to the vet since he had...
You know what, the more I think about it, I think I will just stick with the feliway spray I have been using. Here's why:I am very much involved in rescue, and if I try to keep strays away, I won't be able to help them. Everyone around here knows I will take in strays to foster. Does that sound...
Yes Kitto is neutered. I am not sure he would take to the harness, he doesn't even like to wear his collar. But that would be a great solution, I will try. And I will definately look for that product!
I have a really interesting situation here, and would like some input from the experts here at The Cat Site. Years ago I used to allow my cats outside, but we live in an urban neighborhood and I decided to keep my cats inside for their safety. We had one cat, Charlie, who was the last of my...
My Princess Gina has this problem. It is not wet where she sleeps, but sometimes she leaks a bit. We have seen the Vet several times for this problem, last time they did a complete senior panel on her, she is 8. They found everything was completely normal. No infection or crystals. She was put...
I just take a strip of paper and some tape, most cats dont mind it. The only thing about collars, back in the day we had outdoor/indoor cats. 2 of them got lost and we got them back because we had put the ID tags on them, I guess with microchips people dont use the collars as much. I didnt mean...
Well the owner called me, I had put on the paper collar. So I will let this one go since they live really close. I did find out it is a plump little boy! I think he just likes me. I seem to attract cats, like all of you! But i agree, any owner who doesn't put an ID tag on their cat isn't a very...
I have done lots of shlter rescues, but i got the fosters from them. There is a ginger cat coming round my house for the last few months. With all my experience I cant even tell if it is male or female. Today it was waiting for me when i came home, and it looked visibly bigger around the midde...
I have done a lot of fostering and always end up keeping the kittens that didnt get adopted to excellent homes. We have 4 cats now and they are the most fun ever. As long as you can take care of them, there is no limit, IMO.
I have one like that! He does so many funny things. He is a joy to have around, even my husband loves to see what Kitto is up to. He is about the same age as your cat, actually he is 2, and thinks up new ways to play all the time. I think it is their personality, truly. So much fun.
I swear I am the worst foster mom on earth, I fall in love with everyone! I have been fostering a litter just as a favor to my sister-in-law, she took in a darling little black stray who had 4 kittens. When the kittens were old enough I got them into the shelter on the condition that I foster...
Not sure where this goes, but I currently have this beautiful foster litter and I want to keep them all,LOL. here they are:
My friend found their mom and kept her, and she turned out to be pregnant. Of course they called me. I have done tons of fostering, but I think I am going soft, I am...
I think I'm lucky I found him! I adore him and we have the closest bond. I spent a lot of time taking care of him when I found him, he was so traumatized and his little feet were burned. Also he tested positive for FIV when he was little but he is negative now. It took weeks before he would even...
