Changing cat home made diet, feedback.

no bone, but I do use edible bone meal powder. so do you guys think I should go with the new diet that has more fat but less protein? I know cats can handle and need high protein, im just worried 77% protein is a little too high even for cats, in the long term.

Changing cat home made diet, feedback.

This might get a bit complicated if you don't make your own cat food so sorry If I bore you, lol. anyways, my two boys have been on the same diet for over a year now and I've been thinking I should mix things up. Feedback from others who make food like me would be great. Basically upping the fat...

    Kitty eating less....

wow, I havent posted here in some time now. My little gray DSH JJ is not himself. For the past week or so I noticed he no longer cries for his food as I am preparing and just about to serve it. He seems distracted. Also, he usualy finishes his 3oz portion 60 seconds or less and tries to get more...

    Cat refuses to drink

cat are designed NOT to have thirst drive. They are designed to get all the water they eat from their natural prey. Continue feeding him wet food and I sugget adding little bit of extra water to the wet food. Dry food LEADS to dehydration, so you oughta cut that out completely for that and other...

    Cat won't eat meat?!?

when went from dry to canned my cats did this too. take a fork and much down on food and mix it real well with the gravy. make it almost paste like. when the cat is in the process of licking the gravy, it will have no choice but at the same time lick up the meat.

    Raw Diet....yes, no, maybe?

thats good stuff too. its actually very similar to CAW. the only reason I use CAW is because Wysong was willing to send me a data sheet letting me know exactly whats in CAW per each gram. FF was very unwilling to disclose much to me. But im sure FF is just fine, im just a little obsessed with...

    Raw Diet....yes, no, maybe?

I dont grind bones, so I use CAW. And believe it or not there are many nutrients that would be missing if one were to only feed muslce/heart/liver meat. Now if one is feeding whole carcass, then thats another matter. But the former lacks things like enough vitamin D, E, iron, manganese, iodine...

    Raw Diet....yes, no, maybe?

The best raw food supp I think is Call of the Wild from Wysong. It contains everything to balance raw meat, especially calcium. It is the most worry free way to feed raw i believe. Here is a recipe that I use, along with Call of the Wild and a seperate bone meal supplement. I store the finished...

    Raw Diet Suplements

Wysong "call of the wild" is the best. You gotta trust me on this one. it has everything. you should also add 1 omega gel capsule to food every other day. be sure to follow the directions, 1tsp per 3 ounces of raw meat. idealy, you should use thigh meat, chicken or turkey are readily available...

    How much should he eat?

gaining weight too fast the vet says??? First thats subjective and second all cats are different. If from above you can discern his waist, if he doesnt have a pot belly, if he doesnt have trouble grooming himself, if he has a visible neck, then I wouldnt worry about him. For all you know you are...
