I clean the litter box like 3 times a day, sanitize/wipe down and everything. Cats are now using pee pads in the box instead of the dust because i'm having SEVERE health problems from the dust. One cat is fine with this because he pees on the ceiling (which i started lining about 8 months ago)...
Yeah, he hates all litters except the clay. Which is silly, because he was a homeless cat for years and lived in a parking lot so I'm sure he didn't have clay litter there.
Right now I have the pad in the litter box so they understand this is where they need to go. My girl cat pooped and then covered it with the pad so she gets it. He's just holding it in and going to pop at some point. I haven't left the room to make sure he doesn't pop on the bed.
I have tried every litter. One of my two cats will ONLY use clay litter. The problem is that we're sharing a very, very small bedroom in my parents house. We have been so far for about 6 months and will for another few months. I just cleared out the closet from my mother's belongings and put the...
Well I don't know what to say. I've been giving him treats and affection and the humping is getting worse. There are a couple of weird things. He only humps the spot I put my head down in the bed/blankets. He tries to hump my other cat still but she fights him until he stops trying and gives up...
Oh wow, thanks for all this info! I'm not sure it's the attention thing as I left my job and became a pet photographer and am with him more than I'm not with him. That said, maybe he is stressed about something or wants the female cat's attention. She's less amorous than he is, she likes to play...
Ok, maybe "out of control" is an extreme way to put it but it's becoming an issue. My boy cat has always humped things that are soft - those plush like blankets. So I got rid of them all. Then he started humping fleece so I got rid of the fleece blankets except the "Paws Off" pet cover I use for...
It's been about 15 hours. She's acting normal. Harassing me by zipping all over the room and begging for food. Our vet isn't open but I'll be sure to call.
SO my little 8lb cat ate a strip of a plastic wrapper. I had a crystal lite container and you know how it has the little strip that wraps around the lid of the canister and you pull it off so you can lift off the lid and get to the individual packets? I pulled it off, it didn't ALL come off but...
Maybe. I'll try anything at this point. There was one time he went while squatting and it was a perfect scoop. A PERFECT SCOOP. I feel like he was taunting me. Like, I can if i want to... but I don't want to.
I tried the pushing his butt down thing which was suggested up higher and he locks his little cat knees or whatever they're called and looks me in the eye. I don't know what his deal is! I literally talked to him one of the times and was like COME ON, MAN! And he just looked me dead in the eye.
He's always aimed for the ceiling but I think he's succeeding now because he's pushing all the litter under where his hind feet go, creating a little hilltop to help him succeed. I have a lot of litter in there! He's such a good cat, but when it comes to the box, he's a jerk. I'm going to get...
I didn't see any big enough for him. He's tall. He reaches kitchen counters with his paws with ease. It was hard cutting meat in my old house, where he could roam as he pleased.
He is neutered but he also humps anything fleece or soft so I had to get rid of a lot of blankets. I had a favorite sweater until I woke up to him on it........ Operative word is HAD a favorite sweater.
My storage bin is the exact same as yours... Ugh, Charlie... If only he would just squat a little. Or just pee straight. I don't know why he's now leaning forward and aiming his butt into the air.
I cut a hole in it because he refuses to jump into it. I assumed he wanted to walk into it because that's what he's used to. When he's not happy with a new box, he pees in the center of my bed. He's very deliberate. I do use clumping litter but it still smells. Most of the pee is just dripping...
Charlie is a tall boy cat. He's very polite but he has one major issue. No box works for him. I've had 6 different litter boxes and each one has an issue. Since he's tall, I always have to get the biggest box. Fine. Problem, they have seams and urine runs out because he sprays the walls. He...
This was my original post: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/325114/help-is-black-dots-on-a-bald-spot-always-ringworm
So 2 weeks have finally passed (on Sunday) and the vet said the ringworm/fungal test was negative. He said it would be highly unlikely for it to be ringworm considering the black...
I did think of blackheads first when he said no mites on the skin scraping but the vet said when squeezed there would be discharge and his are not doing that. I am also worried that It's ringworm or fungal because Bella, my Russian Blue, is shedding a lot. I can't find any bald spots because...
