We think it's a stroke. Would that make sense, or no?

Also, he is 8 years old.

The sugar water and syrup on gums didn't work.

He throws up no matter what. The vet said that it was either an infection or the flu. He won't even drink or anything.

My cat randomly started drooling, has a runny nose, sneezes, and wouldn't eat. However, now he just stares at walls, and hides. We tried feeding him medicine, but he threw it up. Now he won't even come out, and he hides. Do you have any idea what is going on? I'm seriously worried about him.
