Thanks for the tips & website! I will check it out.
He use to eat 2 main meals and have snacks in between. I started mixing his meals with rice because I was trying to eliminate the habit of him snacking. I'm afraid that's what caused him to gain weight.
Thanks!
Hi Mamanyt1953 -
Thanks for the response. I've noticed that when I add rice to his diet, he doesn't seem to want to eat everything in between his meals.
I haven't spoken to his vet or pet nutritionist yet. I just wanted to get some feedback/advice from the cat community. Speaking to his vet...
Hi Cat Site Community -
Long story short, my cat had his PU surgery about a month ago and his recovery couldn't have gone any better. He is back to his normal cute self. He has been on a strict prescription diet. He loves to nap, so on most days he only consumes about 2 "real' meals (breakfast...
Hi All -
So my cat, Prince is towards the end of his 3 week post p/u surgery recovery. The recovery process has been great. It was pretty exhausting (as expected), but very necessary and worth it. He has been confined in the kitchen ever since he came home (about 3 weeks ago). Yesterday we...
He really is! i'm so excited that this whole ordeal for him is about to be over soon. This last month has been so stressful for him, but he has been sweet and forgiving throughout. His personality never went away (which was what I was afraid of). His appetite is back to normal as well as his...
Well, Prince has been peeing good steady streams about 2x a day; but this is because he had the PU surgery about 2 weeks ago. He has about 5 more days before his stitches come out. I've dealt with this for a month also, so I don't think that is very uncommon. I first brought him in 6/9/16 and he...
Thats a great idea, but would prefer not to spend anymore than I have to. The past 2 weeks have cost my husband and I around $14,XXX.
However, I do have one about this size:
I hope this will work. But we are planning to have at least one person be with him at all times.
Wish us luck :)
Thank you for the reassurance! IF I had to pick one, I would take an UTI over UO anyday. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent or keep it minimal UTI's for him. Perhaps I will have to start cleaning the house every couple of days.
Never occured to me to post a picture of the trouble maker... He is the left one in the baby picture and darker one in the rest.
MaggieMay - they are Maine Coons as well!
I will be picking Prince up tomorrow!!!
I am sooo excited, yet nervous at the same time. I'm sure there will be many challenges and sleepless nights for us the next 2-3 weeks. I can not believe how much we spent the past 2 weeks on unblocking him (3) times AND his p/u surgery. It's enough to...
Hi fellow cat lovers.
So, after 1.5 weeks of headaches and heartaches (story can be read here: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/320957/my-cat-has-urinary-blockage-obstruction), Prince had a successful p/u surgery on Tuesday 6/21/16. My vet told me I was able to pick him up yesterday (Wed), but I'm...
For some reason I missed this post. Thanks for all the great advice, Red Top Rescue.
In Prince's case, the vet tried to express his bladder again and nothing came out, and his bladder was filled with pee. I'm not sure I had a choice but to agree to the p/u surgery, or put him to sleep. I'm...
