Thanks so much for your help/advice. Much appreciated. Kitty-Pooh has had some normal bowel movements and seems to be almost back to his usual self. Guess the Laxatone worked...he seems to get perkier with each bowel movement! LOL! I think I will also get some pumpkin for possible future...
I took my Kitty-Pooh to the vet on Thurs. because he had been coughing after every meal and was acting a little slow...just not himself.
After various testing, x-ray, shots, fecal exam, etc., (and a $240 bill!), it was concluded that Kitty-Pooh was fine, but had a rather large hairball in his...
My Kitty-Pooh has always been very protective of his litterbox (strange, since it's a one-cat household). Lately, he occasionally just sits or lays in the litterbox. If I walk pass the litterbox, he will jump out and follow me.

I am really enjoying the forum. It's so nice to be amoung real cat-people!
No, Kitty-Pooh has no other symptoms other than some fur loss on ears. The ears are not irritated or red. Only change is that I have been feeding him Iams dry food.
My 4-year old Kitty-Pooh has recently lost some fur on his ears (one ear more than the other). No fur loss any other place. Haven't noticed any fleas or excessive scratching. Otherwise, he's a healthy cat. Any suggestions as to the cause? Thanks for you help.
