    HELP STUBBORN RINGWORM

CryBaby (cat) a couple tiny spots on his nose that I don't know if they're ringworm or just irritation from playing or eating but I dabbed them with...

    Ringworm in new shelter kitty

How crazy did you go with the cleaning? I've cleaned and cleaned but I think it may take years before I'm completely comfortable in my house again. And did you quarantine your cats?

    Ringworm in new shelter kitty

Before we found out the foster cat had it half my household had been infected, yes definitely VERY contagious. They've been on oral meds first itraconazole and then we switched to terbinafine for one cat, they are getting dipped in lime sulfur once or twice a week which is a fungicide. I can't...

    Ringworm in new shelter kitty

Did you do fungal cultures on them to make sure they were clear or just consider them clear when the lesions were gone? I'm torn on spending the money and waiting those extra weeks or just letting back in when they appear clear.

A friend used pure oxygen shampoo and said it worked well, the shelter sent some home with her. It is so expensive I haven't tried it yet as I'm pretty well tapped out money wise. I stopped using topical other than the sulfur dips and my cats face is looking better but we're not out of the woods...

    Ringworm in new shelter kitty

I brought a foster cat home and unbeknownst to me he had ringworm because the shelter is infested. 3 months later I am still fighting it in my cats. I have them quarantined in the sunroom and it has turned our lives upside down.I am SO angry! The lesion on my male cat's face continues to spread...

    ringworm

Thank you!I will have to read that when I get home (if I haven't already, I've about broke the internet doing research). They are all getting lime sulfur dips already as well, I'm going to stop putting cream on it. I just hate keeping them out there an extra three weeks waiting for results from...

    ringworm

My household was infected with ringworm by a foster cat. Only one cat has a single lesion and it's on his nose. Both cats are being treated with oral itraconazole and have been on it a month now. It was a small area to begin with and I feel it should've been healed by now. Anyway, the spot on...
