Update: We had a good day. Still peeing pretty well. I can tell when his medicine wears off. So I'm trying to stay on top of it. The only thing we are still having issues with is his sisters. I hope they start being sweet to him again soon. He's clearly confused. :(

For all of my boys (cats and dogs) they are usually doing well by the day after surgery. I make sure that they didn't have access to their cat tree and that the weren't jumping down from the back of the couch or bed. But any other activities they felt ok doing, I let them do. After 30 minutes hes finally stopped trying to pee. I called the vet again and they don't seemed too concerned since he's still producing urine. Im ready for this to be over.

Update: At 3pm (30 minutes ago) I gave him is pain meds. However since about then he has been in and out of the box and producing just small drops of urine. He has been in there for almost 3 minutes now. Could this be because of his pain medication wearing off? I called the emergency vet, but...

He's finally decided to nap.

I hear you there. I've never been so excited to clean a litter box before! I'm going to try the sock trick. I feel bad because he clearly missed them and they are not being nice. Luckily his dog sister was so happy to see him and welcomed him home with lots of love.

Update: Tintin has peed a few times and definitely acting like his old self! Mommy might actually get some sleep tonight. I'm planning on making Tintin a wet food only kitty, and switching my girls as soon as we are out of dry food. We have a dose of pain medication coming up soon, I'm nervous...

He was sent home with 3 medications. He has now peed a tiny bit, which makes me feel better. He's drinking a lot of water, I have water dishes everywhere. I luckily have today and tomorrow off so I'll be home with him. The boyfriend is picking up feliway right now. Thank you so much everyone...

He was at the emergency vet so my at home care instructions were rushed (another emergency came in). I'm watching him like a hawk. He seems happy. He's been curious and playing. But I'm just a worried mom!
